It is basically a big errata patch and generally they do update their PDF automatically with errata when it happens so it makes sense they are doing it like this but still nice.
@@charlespickering2726 I'd like to point out . . . we still don't know what's in the book. They have said there are somewhat significant changes to the gunslinger. Not sue what that means, but it may be more than just releasing a few patch notes.
I'm only 2 minutes in, but let me say: these fast-turnaround summaries are GREATLY welcomed, even without a script. I had a scheduling mishap Friday, so I missed the 1st 1/2 of the live stream. I haven't gotten around to watching the VOD yet, but thanks to your summary, I know EXACTLY what I'm looking for. I'd been wondering about more PaizoCon 2025 details. Thanks!
Sarcesians and Vlaka (Wolf-people from a dying star system) have been confirmed to be the ladt two ancestries in the galaxy guide by the Store page for the Galaxy Guide, actually
Man, thanks for the info. Can't keep track of everything, just too much info out there. I only caught that contemplatives were in the book because they slipped that in during a different part of the livestream.
Led our group's first session of Spore War yesterday. The first session was electric. It helps that my players either really like the setting or playing politics.
Great summary, honestly I was on the fence about purchasing the books due to recently buying both treasure vault and guns + gears right b4 the ORC fiasco. When they announced the remaster it left a bad taste in my mouth every time I saw them on my book shelf.
I am super eager to see what Guns and Gears Remaster looks like, I wasn't expecting it anywhere near this quick. So great news there. I really do love the gunslinger and would be eager for some improvements via the remaster.
There's been some rumblings about what the new gunslinger will be like. It sounds like they are going to make it slightly less 'Guns and Crossbows specific.' Sadly it was revealed that the guns and gears book won't have a gunslinger class archetype that trades out guns for slings. Here's hoping we get it later . . .
@@PsiPrimeProductions1 I suppose the other thing that we should hope for are some revised "guns". The Gunslinger class being into crit-fishing is fine, I suppose, but guns overall are underwhelming for anyone to use so could also use a make-over.
8:34 In the Dragons Demand Discord they mentioned "Black Dragons" are now "Bog Dragons". And the "Green Dragon" turned pretty much into the "Horned Dragon". So I figure we have "OGL free equivalents" for all Dragon in latest 2 years. With most of the evil ones being Primal Tradition, I guess?
I actually think the divine (well, the diabolic dragons) are the evil ones. The Horned dragon is mentioned to be . . . well at least neutral. They are scholars and enjoy studying the stars.
@PsiPrimeProductions1 While Diabolic is somewhat of a match to Red Dragon, Unholy Divine adds a lot of baggage. The chromatic dragons were always heavily about their element first. Something very Primal. But they needed dragon's for all 4 Traditions. And only the green one nicely into the horned one.
I'm not on Twitter/X much anymore, and I haven't been on Instagram for a while, so I scrapped them. And funnily enough, several people say they hated the chime. Can't please everyone . . .
It would drive my dogs into a frenzy every time I played a video. Love the content, just a silly personal anecdote as to why I am happy the chime is gone!
Bad news I think . . . I think they are already made. I don't know much about Paizo's business model, but if they are this far along with the Galaxy Guide, they are probably finalizing formatting/looking for errors and/or sending it off to the printer.
Yeah, I know a lot of GMs ban Phantasmal Doornob for exactly that reason. (Well, not Treerazer specifically, but it's so good against certain enemies that it turns those fights into a joke.)
I do kind of wish they'd just done a player core 3 with the rest of the pre-remaster classes and archetypes gathered. It would be a bit clunky but for those with the physical books, without the pdfs, it would have been convenient to get one or two books where it's just the updated mechanics pulled out. No lore. Though I guess Treasure Vault is pretty close to that on its own. Still a Player Core 3 and a Gear Core would be amazing for stripping out the various pre-remaster stuff across the disparate books and adventure paths and updating them quickly and affordably for players. Even if it had to stretch into a Gear Core 2 it would be better.
Really looking forward to the Guns & Gears Remaster. Hoping the Inventor got some shimmying up around the edges, as I'm hoping to play one in a buddy's Sky King's Tomb campaign once we wrap up Curtain Call, and I've notices some... "rough patches" with it. Nothing egregious, just stuff like how Variable Core doesn't affect things like Megavolt, or other abilities gained from feats. Devastating Weaponry not working with weapons you have to Reload is a weird late game pivot. Stuff like that. Also, I just think some of the innovations are a little under-tuned. As an aside, I hope they punch up the gadgets a bit. They always seemed pretty underwhelming.
Thanks for this, now I don't have to watch the whole thing. I'm excited about the cinder dragon. I really felt that we were missing a remastered fire dragon (we had the unholy hell dragon but sometimes you just want a basic fire dragon).
Yeah, a lot of people wanted the 'basic fire dragon.' It's not like the concept is OGL specific. Smaug, the dragon from Dragonheart, that dragon from Shrek. All are red-colored dragons that breathe fire.
I am so looking forward to the official release of Starfinder 2e. Regarding the remastered versions of Guns & Gears and Treasure Vault, how important do you think it is to get the remastered versions? I have the GM Core, Player Core 1 & 2, and Monster Core. I can't just buy all the books again. Oof.
If you have the PDFs you get the remasters for free. I'm not sure about how much they are needed. Maybe wait until they come out on archives of nethys and see if they're worth it then?
@PsiPrimeProductions1 good idea. If the changes are not too drastic, I might be okay with just using the original books and Archive of Nethys together.
Considering the changes to G&G and Treasure Vault will be what could be compared to errata at best, the fact they're charging for it at all is a travesty.
1:27 Whoa. A free Guns and Gears update for those who already own it is unexpected. Very generous.
inorite?

Thanks this is awesome! Sounds like I picked the right time to star play Pathfinder.
Thanks for these summaries
You’re welcome!
They're awesome
Guns and Gears remaster being free is great.

Wow, thank you!

Keep me updated. Our group will probably be playing Spore War after we finish Triumph of the Tusk.

Yeah, the OGL fiasco really screwed over a lot of people, including Paizo. I don't think anyone was happy about it.
I like this type of content and would like to see more :)

If all they do is let overdrive activate as conveniently as rage, I will be happy.
@ That might help the Inventor, and granted it would if only slightly, but doesn't fix the Gunslinger much.
Thanks a lot for the news.
Funny, I used to Think Treasure Vault was already written with the remaster rules.
I mean, a lot of it is remaster agnostic. Most of the alchemy stuff, weapons, and armor are remaster/premaster agnostic.
Love your videos, you do a great job
Appreciate it!
So excited about Shining Kingdoms, I love Andoran as a concept
Thank you for the summary!
You're welcome!
Thank you! I love your talking speed and succinctness! very helpful
Thank you!
These summaries are very usefull.
Crap, was hoping for stuff on the NPC Gallery. Really looking forward to that book
Me too. But it should be out soon.
nice! thanks for this!
You're welcome!

Wait, what happened to the opening chime? I miss the chime.

@ So true. 😆
Paizo! Please let me help make the Dragonkin! I doubt any of them will see this message but I will keep trying anyway.

a group i was in beat treerazer, mostly because we blinded him and it caused him to miss his big heal. Phantasmal doorknob ftw!
Yeah, I know a lot of GMs ban Phantasmal Doornob for exactly that reason. (Well, not Treerazer specifically, but it's so good against certain enemies that it turns those fights into a joke.)

We still have the magus, summoner, psychic, and thaumaturge yet to be remastered. I suppose they could put all of them in Player Core 3.
Sounds like Starfinder 2e is taking off to a good start.
...Now, someone just needs to make "Solarians on Golarion" a real book.
inorite? DnD has some children's books, why not Pathfinder?
Thank God I don't have to regret guns amd gears. Thanks for the update man I'd much rather you do a small unscripted video than me watch the streams

Yeah, they could also use a few more low-level feats.
