These are such giant attractors of big fish. The 30cm trout and 25 and 32 cm roach is up there with the best trolling lures for pike ever made. The 50cm burbot is for that record pike in deep lakes though.
@@freak.fishing is the main reason for the Minn Kota up front just for the spot lock/gps anchor feature so? I always wondered how well that feature works.
@@kranob1 spot lock is amazing really keeps you in the same place. It's great when your on your own or maybe tired and you can set the cruise control to a certain speed and also keeps it going in a straight line. Which is great when your on your own on a windy day to stop the rest of the rods your trolling get in a tangle.
@@freak.fishing That sounds like the right job. I was only out yesterday with my 6 year old and between driving the boat, freeing his many tangles and dropping the anchor I practically got no time to do any fishing myself. The pilot sounds like it’s as good as having another man with you. Stupid question probably but would it be mountable to a regular type fiberglass lake boat? I’ve never seen it done
Beautiful scenery and video fair play to you, the evolution of predator lures has been unbelievable compared to what was available thirty years ago, just basic plugs and spinners back then! 👍 but the fishing was way better!
Love the videos as always!! I’m trolling at about 4 km/hr, am I trolling to fast and do I need a trolling plate on the engine, I have a 4stroke 8hp Yamaha, many thanks!!
Hey yes I would say thats too fast in winter (1mph to aim for imo ) but should be ok to catch when it warms up a bit. If you tie a bucket handle to a piece of rope and then to your boat and leave it dragging beside the boat it should slow you down without any real expenses :) try that and let me know how you get on.
Bought this lure today 😃 can’t Wait to use it 👍🏻👍🏻
You will love it !
This looks very like Lough Oughter to me. Am I wrong? Only found your channel few days ago, liking the content so far, well done.

Yes fully agree !
Are you using the electric Minn Kota for trolling or the Suzuki outboard?
Both really.

@@kranob1 yes iv seen that done before and works well !
Cheers for sharing mate , wish I had a boat , 👍😉👍
If you can't get a boat seriously look into a float tube :)
You should put bigger hooks to that thing👍🏻
@@MT_f1shing definitely not 😅 no need

Yes there was a huge amount of damage to our water but the seem to be making a bit of a comeback in certain areas. Thanks 😊
Do you re rig the lures Ryan ? If so what wire do you use or fluoro do you mind me asking as I want to re rig my own … thanks man love the channel 👍🏻
Hey with the 4d lures I just use out of the box otherwise I'd use wire as the fluro won't last as long.
Cheers Ryan just got a few today got the perch and 30cm lemon and natural trout and the 32cm roach thanks man!
@@lar9531 brilliant ! Proof is now in the pudding
