What a joy, to have found your channel! You remind me of another favorite youtuber, The Cottage Fairy. Paola is another young lady half my age who shares spiritual advice I wish I had received when I was much younger!
I built my current garden as an attempt to banish depression. I decided that I would concentrate on the positive effects of the gardening experience. No matter how much havoc deer and hail and other problems might cause, I would focus on the positive, recognizing that the garden is my happy place.
I set a Buddha statue in the flowers and rocks overlooking the garden, and right next door to him, I placed a seat for myself to join him in meditation. We enjoy the view acorss the vegetable garden in the foreground, and a scenic view of Pike's Peak out on the horizon.
I was tickled to see that you had set up a space for meditation too! It sounds like you have studied some of the same meditation methods I have. At 1:38 you seem to be describing a type of Metta meditation, and later, at about 3:35, it sounds like you're describing the sort of body-scan meditation they teach in S.N. Goenka's Vipassana meditation retreats.
Thank you for shining your light, and helping to dispel the darkness for me and others!

Thank you for this comment 💛The garden certainly is a good training ground for conditioning the mind. More and more I see that the outer world is a reflection of what’s occurring within. ☀️

Thank you for this video, your idea to think of the most important person in your life, something that you are really proud of, and a time in your life where you felt more alive than ever, quickly brought me to tears when I did so, and I had a really cathartic cry, so thank you.

If you enjoyed that experience, You'll probably enjoy doing a meditation method called "Metta" meditation. Erin was describing something like a Metta meditation in that scene that brought you to tears.
One benefit to Metta meditation is that you learn to really enjoy the sort of emotion that brought you to tears, when you learn to summon it every day during meditation. You remind yourself each day that this sort of loving feeling toward the world around us is normal, and the world is better when we give ourselves that reminder every day!

A new kitty! Do you worry about them getting into anything in the food forest that might be toxic to them?

Release the chains that bind us, what kind of behavior is going on in your circles?
Don't chain yourself or others, the end.
