      Taurean Whitfield Parenting does need to improve for the simple fact that good parenting makes better children;however lack of parenting isn't the cause for youths committing mass shootings.The world over is having a problem with bad parenting and these non terrorist mass shootings happen only in america.

      Zam0rak41 The U.S has the most amount of mentally disturbed individuals of any country. Banning guns which i think should be done, will still result in thousands of shootings. This wont end until theoretically, all firearms get completely destroyed.

    Tell Em Again Chuck..... " You have no rights as kids" Parents need to take some accountability for what their children are doing. It's a parents responsibility to be ALL UP IN their child's business until they are grown/ out of the house.

    • @WesKrave
      @WesKrave 6 років тому +1

      I concur, but at the end of the day if you entrust your child with a phone and the internet, it is the RESPONSIBILITY of a parent to have the knowledge to monitor the device what the child is accessing or simply not give them the access at all, at least while they are in your home.

    Eliminate the device and you will eliminate not only the tragedy but the severity of the tragedy. But the US is too ignorant to see their blatant problem with firearms. Dont blame parents, videogames, internet or mental health. Those are small contributors in the grand scheme. Without the means to do so much damage with firearms you may be able to get to these individuals before they are able to take lives.

    • @BAMsports

      D C I agree that the laws should be changed but it’s definitely not as simple as that. It would make getting a gun harder and shootings like these might happen a bit less, but with the amount of guns already in our country, they’re still gonna happen if we don’t address the other problems that Chuck and Kenny stated.

    • @JarredDamian

      Ben Jones dude u have to look at the culture. Citizens from those other countries are often more civilized than americans are. Gun control is an impossible task. The only guns the gov would be able to take away are registered, legal firearms, while illegal firearms will still be in the hands of bad people.

    • @benjones6030
      @benjones6030 6 років тому +2

    These kids need to vote on opening up more mental institutions, not changing gun laws. The gun is just a tool, it's all about how the person owning a gun utilizes it.

  • @petershaver5006
    @petershaver5006 6 років тому

    Ernie talking about "the parents not allowing access to their guns to one of their kids" shows a cultural disconnect between "country folk" and city folk". I used to leave my deer rifle in my truck going to high school in order to go hunting after class and I would keep a shotgun or pistol on my person while working on the ranch for snakes and such. A gun is a tool. A lot of young aren't raised right anymore. Teaching and promoting morality and civility has fallen by the wayside and that needs to change.

    I believe the issue is much bigger than gun control. Our society has accepted and embraced killing as entertainment. From movies, TV shows, video games down to all game night games that my kids get invited to are all about glorifying killing. Mafia, Werewolf, and Two Rooms and a Boom are all games that my kids were invited to participate in this week. They seem harmless, but are all centered around killing. I'm not really for or against gun control, but I am against feeding our minds with material that focuses on killing. Laws are important, but they can only do so much. It's the morals of a society that keep it safe.

    Agree wit Chuck as well. With all of the school shootings the suspects have had access to their parents firearms and guns available in households.
    We need to break down every facet of our society. From mental health to gun accessibility to gap in laws where firearms are so readably available. Parents need to get with their kids and not let video games and cell phones dictate how we treat one another.
    I never had to worry about this in HS and our kids today shouldn't have to either.

    I am sick of hearing people blame anyone who owns/supports gun ownership as being part of the problem. Most of the gun homicides in the US in due to criminal activity. There is obviously a big problem with people shooting up places where people gather.
    I blame the media. In the past, serial killers, terrorists, criminals, etc have had supporters. The media rarely blames the perpetrator, or the perps parents. They LOVE to blame people who had nothing to do with it(innocent gun owners, 2nd amendment supporters, etc). The perpetrators are often viewed as victims and have this legendary status.
    The Colombine shooters are a good example of this. I

    This reminds me of a quote. Albert Einstein Quote: “Insanity is doing the same thing, over and .. over again but expecting different results. We sit her not changing anything yet we expect these shootings to slow down. It stars with YOU. Each parent and person on this Earth has a impact. It's little but when you add each and every one it's alot. It starts with you because you could either be the victim or the shooter You can be the parent of he victim or shooter. Everyone has to step in and make a change or unfortunately this will happen 😥. The sad part is it can be any of us. Just think you can be watching this video and months later you could be in a school shooting and that's what makes it scary. It can be one of your family members or friends. We are sent to learn and development and it's turning into teachers being less motivating towards students, kids getting bullied, kids going insane and shooting up the schools. It's crazy how our world has came. But like everyone said it's becoming the norm and it won't change until we fix it ourselves

    Parent need to be parents and not roommates of their kids. Everyone is trying to be there kids friend at an early age and realize being a parent is an Honor and a Job and beyond cute babies in the incubator and nursery. These children are your responsibility from God so take it seriously, please.

    Parents are letting the internet raise their children. Even in schools the kids are on computers/phones.Very little human interaction lack of humanity. Worst of all parents just want to be ‘friends’ and not ask hard questions and say ‘NO’... kids nowadays just don’t ‘earn’ the right to do things because parents are just giving it to them with no rules or system in place

    The parents are responsible for not raising a psychopath. Laws, voting and daddy government will never replace good communities and good parenting. The kid broke several gun/weapons laws by committing this shooting, so more laws is not the answer.

  • @prazertv
    @prazertv 6 років тому

    Parents just let their kids run wild. They have no idea how to be parents and they don't know how to communicate with their kids. If I had a child and the kid was a psychopath with thoughts of killing his classmates, I'd have a idea that the kid wasn't all there and I'd figure out how to get him some help. Everyone wants the government to change the laws. The laws were fine until parents stopped raising their kids and let the internet and social media raise their kids. The parent should be the first point of contact. If your child is going out and buying guns and as a parent you don't know this, then you've failed as a parent. Put the blame squarely where it deserves to be and that's with the with with mental issues and the parents for not noticing.

    When they took Christianity out of schools, instilled atheistic teachings, and didn't hold kids accountable for their actions, this began the onslaught and beginnings of a culture not fearing retribution from God but rather, revenge, evil, and hatred. Just what the devil ordered...

    I blame social media making dependent/weak minded people combined with the emotional and turbulent time of puberty. We as a society are more self-centered and and short-sided en mass than I can remember. Our need for community and acceptance is perverted and preyed upon ..we can not even recognize each others humanity.

    If we implement a stronger law for guns or take guns away how exactly are we suppose to take guns away from all the people who already own them and want their money back or won't give them up; How are we suppose to protect ourselves against the government incase they try to go against the people if we don't own any guns? Just because they take away legal guns who is to say illegal guns won't come into the united states borders? which they already do.

      Either of them would have to take a massive pay cut to make that work. Even then, HOU would have to either trade or restructure the contracts of Anderson, Tucker and Gordon. Plus, Capela, CP3, Ariza and Green will be restricted free agents, this summer, that probably will get max offers from other teams and HOU will have no choice but to match the offers in order to keep them. Practically impossible without a complete roster re-haul

    I'm against guns but if they're not going to impose stricter gun laws, they might as well distribute guns like condoms. Even a psychopath with automatic weapons can't go far with an entire school with hand guns. After that, let the pieces fall in place.

    Umm, sure, we can vote this problem out of existence. Kerr and these others are clueless. Barkley is pretty spot on. We give political elites just a tad too much credit. Also, how many shootings has there been in Chicago this year? Why aren't we talking about that again?

    most of all these school shooters were bullied that's why they do what they do we need to focus more on the bulling rather than the guns if it wasn't for the bully's they will be no guns involved.Because they fell like killing is the only way i do know the teachers tell the bully's not the be bulling but of course they still don't listen until something tragic happens like this then there protesting and crying even though they bullied that person! #FocusOnBulling

      so you want more fights in school more gang fights in school when i went to school there was a whole group of 10 kids they all had pocket knifes and if any missed with them or tried to step up for them self they all took out there pocket knifes what makes you think there's no other kids like this in other schools i remember there was two 8th graders who had pistols and they were bullies so if someone would fight with them they would take out there pistol
