It may be available if you Google it. It was one of his last interviews - don't recall which one. Personally I don't regard his comments as racist. He never said he hated blacks. it seemed like a lack of respect to me.

You remind me of so many other wannabe UA-camrs who think they are the Wizard Of Oz, with a computer, a screen, and an internet connection. Your biggest mistake? Why didn't you review this with somebody who might know a little bit more than you about what you're attempting to do? but to be kind, I won't criticize, because then I'd have to use words reserved for your family and friends.

Think Dec 7th 1941, Most Hollywood stars enlisted to help in the war effort, At least most male stars did, as well as many not yet stars did as well. But not "mr america" instead as one of the few male leads available, he rose to stardom, because of so little competition.

    Not a peep about his role in McCarthyite blacklisting, which destroyed the careers of many people working in the movie industry. Charming?

    • @KevinThomas-ok2ev
      @KevinThomas-ok2ev 3 місяці тому

      McCarthy’s warnings should have been heeded. Virtually all of the names he cited turned out to be Soviet agents, assets or supporters. This became clear when the Venona papers were revealed after the collapse of the USSR. The Hollywood Ten were legitimately communists, by their own admissions. Zero sympathy here.

      Being a vehement anti-communist is a definite plus in my book. We should have heeded McCarthy’s warnings, and we wouldn’t be dealing with a lot of the messes we’re stuck with today.

    Not a very good dedication for the Duke. Narrator had lots of mispronunciations, and the script writers repeated many movie references several times.
