Awesome barn find. I have found some pretty cool gems hidden in some crazy places around Utah.we just drove 3000 miles to pick up a 73 R/T challenger can't wait to start that build soon.
This guy might have had good intentions to start with and thought he was going to live forever to even be able to finish the ones inside that he partially took apart. These should have been sold 20+ yrs ago to someone that would restore/repair them for themselves and not just to flip for a profit.
In today's market, classic cars are all about dollars and cents to practically every collector. It's no longer about having a particular automobile. It's all about how much money is it worth upon sale. And these cars are rarely driven anymore because of buyers wanting low mileage examples.
I keep telling everybody these cars are everywhere. People just hoarding, BUT money is getting tight everywhere so now there coming out of the woodwork. There are 4 kinds of collectors. 1.The rich who can buy any car OR a lotterywinner/a guy who INHERITS big money and can buy one. 2. The guy who INHERITS a classic/ir neighbor down the street dies and he gets a great deal. 3.the really old guy who BOUGHT HIS 66 Chevelle SS and still has it and 4. The guy who hopes he can find a classic forgotten about( but the car needs a lot of work) it's that simple. I have have had about 17-18 classics ,( did some complete but most were partial restores)and I fit in the last category AND most people do. I say 75%
And all with Mice and other Rodents living in them. This is nice to see but would be a financial nightmare to restore. All the wiring would be rotted and if the engines were not properly mothballed, (gasoline emptied frim fuel systems etc…) your looking at a lot of money 😢
I've seen this video before with the volume turned on.. if I remember correctly the guy was on the property to repair something and decided to record all the cars.. he wasn't much of a car guy and didn't know exactly what he was looking at.. people ripped him a new one in the comments.
This video needed something said about the cars and what was going to be done with them are they going to being restored or just going taken from one building to another and left to collect more dust and let the engines seize up and everything else just become homes for rodents
The problem is everyone wants to buy them and beat up whoever on price . They should be sold with a clause in the sale to be put back to factory specs . Not some back yard wanna be that will butcher them
Everyone has different tastes.. I wouldn’t put it back to factory specs.. I would put my own touches to it … that’s the great thing about having Your Own Car… it’s yours… Nobody elses
Channels almost never tell you how to get ahold of these cars. But yeah I figure he's probably relatively dry with all that dust. Go back through and checked windshields for State stickers. A quick glance I found three license plates. You can zoom in and find out what state plates from. If you get a plate that kind of matches were this car setting then you probably in the right state. And use the different type of clues in the background like vegetation. Also wherever this guy's from you probably didn't travel that far to get to these cars. The whole bunch of tricks and I've been finding cars for years. Also this is quite the collection and if a guy did want to sell it would be no bargains. There's salvage yard over in Southeastern Tennessee that's pretty good pickings for builders.
I just looked back at a sister in the last one I post with the old model Tees and model A's. That's out in California. Has to be because there's a bunch of white California tags in one of the buildings. Also he told me where he thought it was located because he's familiar with the vegetation. But it was in California Southern California. And the background here it doesn't really look like Southern California though. If any of that helps your great. Happy hunting.
