OMG! The Broadman Hymnal! I’m 66 now but was hired to play the piano at my church when I was nine. Continued to play for that church for 50 years! I still have that hymnal because it was the first one I played out of at church!

My sis-in-law did some nice nice ornaments with pictures of loved ones no longer with us. I really love having them hanging on the tree, it’s like they are there, enjoying Christmas with us.

THANK YOU, Leslie, for all these ideas !!! I especially like the mason jar lid ornament. It gave me the idea to make some out of my husband's ties. I lost him 8 years ago and kept all his beautiful ties knowing one day I would make something out of them. Now I can make ornaments for my family as well as cover lids of jars that I can fill with candy, cookies, etc for my family for Christmas !!!!! ❤
The best use I ever saw for old vintage ties... was a lampshade made out of them. Maybe you could google a tutorial. Looked great , especially in a library or office.

LOVE the ornament idea!! I have a stash of mason jar lids. I recently found some of what my Granny called her "house dresses". She would wear them over her clothes when she was cooking or cleaning. I am going to make ornaments for my family with these. Thanks for the great idea!!

The framed hymn is my favorite!! My daughter did something similar. She cut some of her favorite hymns out of an old, falling-apart hymnal and arranged them in a frame that she gilded with Rub-Buff. It's so striking in her 1888 home! I love your idea, Leslie, of adding the Christmas ornament or wreath. So simple and so, so pretty!

The ornament idea is so special. What a great idea to make ornaments out of the shirts. I have a friend who did something similar with her husbands shirts. It is a very special memory of him. The framed hymn with the ornament hung on the side was my favorite.
Hi ! I love the wrapping a book idea. So simple but so cute. Last year I framed Silver Bells music sheet in a silver frame and hung a bow with silver bells on it. I loved the idea of just hanging something on the corner of the frame.

I'm an empty nester so I don't do Holiday crafting any more. This Christmas I'm spending in Tokyo with my family so who knows, I may have time to whip something up.
wrapping the books and all the crafts are great! reminded me of my Grandma wrapping her wall art like presents using wrapping paper, ribbon, and bows.
I love the Hymn print and using candle ring wreaths would be the perfect size for a 5x7, which I like that size for open shelving decor. I think that’s my fave project you did.

Having lost my mum this year i am going to make an ornament and the framed music thats lovely x mum loved Christmas sp much,she loved Christmas movies and would watch them from her birthday in june till Christmas 😂 i love books just how they are...but this is a great idea❤

Would using ribbon (like a dark blue) on the dress shirt ornament be classier?! Of course, the twine gives a great rustic look if that is the theme.
Sure! You can use whatever you feel like goes with the person you’re remembering! Rustic was definitely the way for Jason’s shirt! He’d probably laugh if I put some beautiful blue ribbon with his shirt! Lol

Leslie, do you have suggestions on how to approach decorate a LARGE wall space (kitchen/dining/living room)? I'd love to use family photos, but wanting a bit of different twist than more common, traditional "photo gallery wall" in black/white frames. 😃
Have you thought about doing some type of accent wall and then your photos? Give it a little piazzas and that would make it look different?

I have been trying (unsuccessfully) to thin out my Christmas decorations so I don’t need any. However, I might be tempted to make the mason jar lid ornaments. I think I would put a picture of the person on the back. Not to display… but to identify the person. A grandchild might look at it many years in the future and will know in whose memory the ornament was made.

Just ordered the Osea from your link. Can’t wait to use them. It could be nice gift, too. My mom died a couple of years ago and I haven’t been able to part with some of her clothes. Hmmm maybe it’s the brand you are using? I never have any problems! Don’t use the cheap glue sticks! Those are awful!
Love everything. Don’t know how it would look but if the wreath is too big to hang with ribbon, may be able to hang the wreath on the edge of the frame instead of with ribbon. I really want to try the designs like on the pillow. Can you find the patterns at Hobby Lobby ? Love and prayers ❤❤

Love ya girl. Last year in July , and the Christmas crafting got started. I was like HMM OK.. But this year your the first one that i have sat through , lol . Idk I just caint get my mind to go there. Girl i even started my Christmas gift list .And started even started buying things. I was shocked that all the like men's shirts at Wal-Mart long sleeve pull overs marked down to $4.00 I was like well heck yeah. Went on Wal-Mart in the womens' they had Reebock jogger/sweat pants for $9.00 and the shirts to match all of $9.00 a piece found hoodies yep for $9.00.. And Wal-Mart sells them all day long for almost $25.00 a piece . But idk I aint even fill it this time . Sorry i wrote a book.
