Great video, the tractor drivers today are spoiled, they don't have to get off the tractor now to pack up the equipment to put it in travel mode for the road, the sad thing is ,farms now have cut down on an awful lot of labour which is a shame. Kevin Fox United kingdom
Thank you for watching. The new machines do allot of automated work. They still require wrenching on. At the 3:39 mark the farmer is pulling away after adjusting two row units for 30 minutes. It took several tools and lots of time out of the cab. Bigger machines bigger problems sometimes.
One thing i would like to to know more about is the planter such as how is it driven, ground, hydraulic, electric row motors, etc and what king of meters they have and down force as well. Good videos
How does the process work? A farmer invests in very high dollar equipment, but is the loan generally based on upcoming crop revenue? or land collateral? Each year?
Farm’s manage their operations in a variety of ways. Many do have an operating loan to buy seed, fertilizer, fuel etc... in the spring to put out a crop. Then the loan is repaid once the crop is harvested and sold in the fall.
@@ZimFarm24 I have a T8.390 like this one but with wide rear fenders and wider front tires. The front tires on this one look like 480/70R34s and the rears are definitely 520/85R46s. Other common rears are 480/80R50 (same diameter, Group 48 height).
@@captaindee6130 yes agree thanks for that. I was specing two machine T8.380 and T8.435. Ended up going with 380 with 480R34 and 480R50 and the 435 with 480R34 and 520R46 tyres.
it was the farm that had all the 9000 series tractors they were planting with. That particular farm did a lot of tillage and you explained because of there grain carts and etc packing the ground.@@bigtractorpower
That John Deere farm is about an hour from this New Holland farm. This New Holland farm chisel plows some of its ground and runs a field cultivator. It also uses a Great Plains Turbo Till on some ground. Then it also no-tills some fields like this one.
It uses a FPT engine which comes from Fiat Power Train. Fiat Owens IVECO and that’s the base engine used in most New Holland and Case IH machines today.
Not necessarily, Hutson a very large and quite popular dealership in the area is solely green and I’m guessing that has a lot to do with the amount of John Deere equipment in his videos. But as a whole I feel like all brands are well represented in western KY.
I like to mix it up and show all the brands. The last 9 BTP videos in a row were all John Deere features. The other brand fans were starting to get nervous. Watch for some blue, Orange, yellow and red for the next few videos and then John Deere will be back.
The big-blue-bug,that's one ugly machine.I'm sorry B.T.P.,every time I look at the New Holland, especially the front end of it,I swear they modeled it after some sort of insect.
Once again a weak performance for a BTP video on views out of the gate. . Only 328 views in 25 minutes. You are aware channels like How a Farms Work can do 2,000 views in less than 30 minutes. MN Mellinual Farmer got 255,000 views for backing equipment out the shed. You need to step up or just quit so other channels get a chance.
Ha ha. The realty is there are other bigger better ag channels. Plus he says he replies to every post but he has not replied to my last 5 posts. Yet I see he comment back to everyone else. Just scared of the facts I guess.
Woah there bud, you need to relax. Everybody has different video styles and different content. BTP does a good job explaining the basics of how the equipment is used and giving the data on the tractors. Ryan and Zach both make excellent videos but those are vlog style videos. Just sit back and enjoy the content, a lot of people just enjoy watching big equipment work.
Woah! That guy puts a lot of trust in his GPS guidance system! 5:31
😁👍
around me markers on planters and foam markers on sprayers are extinct
Beautiful equipment right here!!! Thanks for the video of a Blue ;)
Great video as always!!
Thank you for the great informative videos. I am a small farmer but I enjoy seeing the big boys and there toys.
Thats a planter, looks heavy & well built. Nice the machinery colors match.
Kinze builds good planters.
That was interesting to learn about the spacing of the corn and the benefits of it
Thank you for watching.
Very impressive, great show for NH GPS system, clear the pole by inches, this is really something, also nice to see a NH in the field, very nice
Do not try this at home. No power line poles or corn planters were harmed in the making of this video 😁
@@bigtractorpower Cool lol
Now that’s better with some blue equipment!! Always excited about this!
I am always on the hunt for New Holland and Ford. 👍
Thanks for the video!!!
Nice video shots 👌👍💪
Thank you for watching.
Now that is some heavy duty farming, great video, thanks
Thank you for watching.
That's a serious pull!
The newest top T8 is the T8.435 at 380 engine horse power. I would like to film one of those.
That is one HUGE unit wow
the best tractor, new holland the best
👍👍
Thank you for the great job on farming videos
👍 Thank you for watching.
As being from Kentucky myself and see you in that big blue tractor only thing I can think of is go big blue cat fan
That's what I call a planter!!😀💪
It will cover 250 acres or more in a day.
@@bigtractorpower man alive!!
Thanks good video, nice tractor.
Thank you for watching. 👍
Definitely not My grandpas planter that is a beast.
It will cover some ground for sure.
Never a dull moment
👍
Like the info of the spacing
It is a neat set up. Thank you for watching.
thanks for another fun vid ,gettin close to that power pole...i cliped one one time not good
It would not be good to clip one. Thank you for watching.
Another great video. 👍
Thank you for watching.
Beautiful! Keep it up
Thank you for watching.
nice looking rig, on our kinze we would have one spiked wheel and one rubber wheel in the back. The liquid starter tanks is on the tractor.
👍
Keep up the good work👍
Thank you for watching.
Darn good set-up,...to think all that planting & harvesting, not to long ago was done by hand and animal .
I seen where Kinze is going to start producing a 4700 series for the spring of 2020. I think you could start ordering them this month.
Mind boggling, greetings from aus!
Thank you for watching. Always an honor to have a viewer from Australia.

Stay tuned there are two videos on the way with in cab ride along talks about Planters.
Wide load!
13 ft is pretty good. There are some 60ft air seeders in the area that are 19ft on the road. Those big drills take the whole road and then some.
Nice video BTP how's the weather been there?
It’s wet right now but drying up. The weathers in the 80s so things should be rolling again very soon.
👍
Thank you for watching.
Wonder under routine conditions how many acres can be planted per hour ?? Dig your video's
In a good working day it can cover 250 acres or more.
Great video again.I would like to see how they apply nitrogen on 20" row corn later.
With a 36 row Farm King Applicator. I posted the video 3 years ago at m.ua-cam.com/video/Vx-bBWjfSE8/v-deo.html
👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you for watching.
Are they using the leading disc behind the row cleaner for liquid fertilizer injection?
Yes.

dear sir please make video on indian tractors
Hi. Sry for late question. Any chance you can tell me what size tires are on this tractor? Front and back? Thanks
I do not know. This was filmed several years ago. The tractor has long since been traded on a more modern T8.

how far is this farm from the other farm in ky that was doing all the tillage a few weeks ago? look like they had a wheat cover crop is this correct?

You didn’t provide the specs for the other machinery in the video :) (the lawnmower in background for 5 seconds)
👍 it is a Kubota zero turn.

John Deere is lame as vanilla.
What are the two other tanks on planter in cylinder shape
They are carrying starter fertilizer.
@@bigtractorpower Are they using NPK with starting fertilizer
@@bigtractorpower Another que is their for you
In your area only big farms are their or some small farm are also available
@@bigtractorpower with starting fertilizer they also uses N P K with it or not
What is the liquid in the two tanks?
Randy Studer liquid fertilizer.
Usually that is starter fertilizer dropped into the seed row.
It is starter fertilizer to help the seedlings as they start.

planter too long
