Glutenfree, ah I played their 2.99€ games in the App Store as a kid. Cool to see how far they’ve come! Back then the mobile games were pretty trash but I loved them as a kid.

Honestly wolfquest’s graphics are still a little outdated ngl. They really need to update the wolf models for one imo. The animations are still quite wooden and lack expression. Maybe back then, wq graphics would be impressive but in comparison to other wildlife games like this one, where the animations are way more fluid and smooth, not so much.

@@pancakes590 The old wolfquest's graphics are outdated. Not the remaster with updated accuracy and such. Not everything needs to look RDR2 quality. The developer's main concerns were accuracy while still being fun, and it being able to run on simpler computers. Being that development of the remaster started in roughly 2018, and it's a small group of devs too, also contributes to what they can and can't change suddenly. Other animal simulators are highly inaccurate if you know your animals, and can't run on a basic computer.

I love both the games dont get me wrong, but this will never pass wolf quest, Wq takes there time to research wolf habits to make the game as life like possible.
The wilds is the best PC animal game because it's have more content for that small weight only 2-3 GB, it's better than the hunted or animalia survival
This game has LONG to go till it beats wolfquest but I feel like if some of the textures and graphics were a bit better it would be almost as good as WolfQuest, but also the wolf coats, snow and trees, etc need a bit of work,

You have to roam a little bit until you find a solo wolf. If that wolf is friendly a blue exclamation point should show on top of his head. If so you just have to walk next to him and Hold F
It looks concerningly close to @wolfquest.. Especially the pelt designs and even the body shapes and way they move. Really hope they are original assets and not stolen.
The WILDS is not mainly focused on wolves tho. You can play as several animals, such as wolves, bears, eagles, ravens, foxes, cougars, raccoons, deer and more.
