My top-5 Rankin/Bass favorites are Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer, Frosty The Snowman, Santa Claus Is Coming To Town, The Year Without A Santa Claus, and Frosty's Winter Wonderland. I have the 4K release for three of them, the 18-special blu-ray & DVD releases, the two foil hard case collectible DVD sets (keepsake editions), the 5-special blu-ray steelbook collection, as well as a few separate blu-ray releases. Needless to say I love the Rankin/Bass specials. All 18 of them are great. I have not seen Rankin/Bass' "Santa, Baby" so I don't know if I like it or not. Maybe I'll check it out sometime this season. I read somewhere that Rankin had no hand in it except they used his name and Bass had little to do with it, but that they used a new studio, but some of the same writers (correct me if I'm mistaken). Could be the reason it wasn't included other than the studio rights issue. I'm not a fan of the song, however. Not for any offense or anything like that. I don't think it means what it is accused of, but that's a can of worms I'll leave closed. It just isn't my cup of tea for a song. Who knows? The special might be good.
