    Which mode do you want to see adapted for Co-Op next?
    I think having a permanent Co-Op Tower of Adversity zone, like the Overdrive zone, would be a great idea
    And of course, a co-op version of the Illusive Realm that speeds up things like metaphor selection and other upgrades to keep it fast-paced.
    The sky is truly the limit now that we've seen what Kuro can do.

      Tower of Fantasy had a coop where the floors got harder the more you move up. But after a long period of time the floors got weaker over time. Which let the f2p people at least finish it before the month reset. Something like that could also work ?
      If Kuro can work out something to balance between whales and f2p, could make a mode like that.

      As you mentioned in the video, the Illusive Realm will take time to be polished for co-op, so I see a logical evolution of this mode starting with the Override zone in version 1.4, and then transitioning to the Illusive Realm in 2.0. I thoroughly enjoyed this event, especially when party members selected low-level supports or 4-star DPS characters. It takes some adjustment to make the lineup work for them, which adds a fun challenge. The number of high-level bosses on Black Shore also keeps it interesting after completing the Fairy Tale content, as I find myself helping others clear this part as well.
      I think we need more achievements that encourage players to stay with the same party for longer, such as “kill 5 bosses with the same teammates.” This would motivate people to actually use the chat and get to know each other, rather than leaving the group as soon as the 3-minute stage is cleared.

      True, i tried using 3 shorekeeper with random to beat crowless, which is not even S6 shorekeeper.

    I played the event with two friends today, and goddam it was funny as fuck to yell "STAY ALIVE DUDE, I'M RESPAWNING IN 5 SECONDS", just to almost immediately see my friend getting oneshoted by Crownless and later on by Inferno Rider xD
    This mode have a lot of potential to stay as a permanent mode. We had to think a bit what echoes we should equip and who of us is going to be the support xDD
    Kuro really cooked with this event and 1.3 patch in general

      ​Actualy its good idea 2 or 3 people IR where one is is tanking and taunting the hard hits to get the bosses stagger when stagger stun is done its time to shine for dps one to do incredible dmg meanwhile sustainer heals the tank to start next tanking mission as a rotational team gameplay could be insanely fun whoever makes a mistake at their job it will be a game over scenario i like that a lot ​@@thebrush9506

    I’m hearing a couple of people complaining about how easy the new coop mode is and they want this feature and that feature which in all honesty is good but can’t be added overnight. It takes time for developers to implement these changes as well as meaningful feedback from players. TBH the level of improvement we’ve gotten in just two patches is insane and this is just the beginning they’re going to keep doing better ever patch.

      The challenges when you do them yourself not with others is super fun, bosses are quite tanky and hit like a truck. Inferno rider is such a pain 😅. When you co op there'll be a lost of casuals who don't know how to dodge or combo properly as well so it makes it harder that way 😂

    This event made me hate inferno rider even more.
    He one shot me, i respawn in the middle of his attack and get one shoted instantly again 😂😂
    Good event, i hope they do more things with co-op

      Inferno Rider is legitimately the hardest fight I've ever had. Even in co-op, the guy literally 1v9s with his insane delayed AoE explosions.

      Yea it was one of the hardest battles even in a co-op, your 2 dd die constantly and you have to dodge this meteor shower with his attack on 60lvl verina....never felt that much stress to stay alive until your teamates is up💀

    genshin devs: we dont want to create excessive anxiety
    also genshin devs: create bosses that goes 75% of times off screen, have a 5 sec intro animation that takes from the timer, get chained cc , starts climbing random trees while in combat and get stuck in them. add QOL through new exclusive characters.....

      ​​@@ceritaminit6696The Aix, Beringal, Rider, Heron, and Crownless aren't just randomly disappearing just to do nothing. Most of the time, they fly or jump to prepare and attack that we players need to react to.
      For instance, that wolf lord and that wenut are just disappearing for mere annoyance and prolong the time. like seriously, what's with the diving underground and not even attack. It's like playing smack the mole or something.
      The only annoying boss in WuWa is Jue but just like the Narwhal in Genshin, they are cinematic bosses. Not really meant for combat mechanics.

    Yeah, I think the design of your teammates being able to trigger your intro/outro and vice versa but *not your own* is a brilliant design that rewards players paying attention to their teammates and cooperation much like mmo content. And love it creates a very dps/tank/healer trinity style of play.
    It’s a great adaptation of the single player mechanic.
    And if they add a multiplayer illusive realm that’s basically a dungeon so you’d have boss strikes and mini dungeons as multiplayer. It actually creates a hybrid singleplayer/mmo-lite gacha that would be almost a new genre! And I would love that formula.

    Never forget crownless that jumpscare and wiping out everyone at the start. That's some darksouls shit right there. I remember someone started it while I'm in loading screen and when I came out everyone is dead but me, my two teammates is going insane in the chat for that jumpscare lol

      I even had randoms question me how tf I managed to handle Crownless by myself when both of them are downed, while myself using Chixia. I really enjoy battling Crownless Hologram version.

    And you didn't mention that the Best thing about this event is the Co-op Normal mode gives all the Astrites Easy.
    And then they also add an Option to play in the "Challenge" mode that is Difficult mode Co-op that gives no Astrites but instead only credits and echos so players won't have Anxiety not getting premium rewards 😊❤

      I think they should add something like medal and nameplates that PGR has. It is the flex that players there use when topping the leaderboards as well as clearing hard and optional content. The way it works is that people can see your nameplate attached next to your name whenever they visit your profile or in coop chat.

    Wuthering waves co-op event is super fun to me jump into the event and literally after 2 seconds you're joined up with other players, and the rewards for it are good Kuro definitely has wuwa going in the right direction and its only 1.3

    I had a nightmare fighting that inferno rider in the co op event but oh boy when the two dps in the team dies and the healer stay alive alone you feel the adrenaline rush into your brain with mix of fear that the healer dies and you had to start over i had a lot of fun playing this event and the community of this game are awsome man.. W kuro for this event..

      But then when the limited co-op events go away, what do you have? I’d rather have permanent co-op in over world with enhanced co-op gameplay so I can do more and play with friends/other players instead of only having occasional co-op events that don’t last for the longevity of the game😅. But then I don’t see why one has to be better than the other when we can enjoy both all the same, the more content the better for players no? You’re still playing with other people, the difference is one is more content/permanent and the other is removed content/time limited. The issue is that these companies don’t know how to properly make these kinds of games fun for co-op, they decide to make co-op in overworld boring as they limit what you can do in a party for some reason, but with those restrictions gradually lifted, it’ll be way more enjoyable than just having events to rely on.

    Jue stopping time for exactly 5 sec is definitely a JOJO reference and my jaw dropped when devs changed memphis skill to Vergils judgement cut end
    also it's insane how well thought out this event is , some characters like xiangli yao take a long time to build energy for their ultimate and getting one shot resets that progress so devs gave an echo to solve this problem this proves that KURO ACTUALLY PLAYS THEIR GAME

    5:03 I remember this in Genshin Impact BEFORE that they don't want to "create excessive Anxiety" to their players with more endgame contents.
    BUT After Wuthering Waves release, with 3 Endgame Contents, the Genshin Devs instead got Anxiety, got memory loss, ate their words and released their 2nd Endgame Content "Imaginarium Theater" 😂

    This kind of coop is definitely very FUN but since it's very FUN it can also get FRUSTRATING when u lose and team up with weak players but it's also the FRUSTRATION that make the event is so FUN. Since the event is so FUN u can feel so engaging easily which also lead to getting FRUSTRATED easily since ur mind isn't in calm state. But if the event is FUN then it's good even if it's sometimes FRUSTRATING.

    I still remember when Wuwa is still development. There should be like an elemental reaction (I forgot what it is called before) but got remove on 1st CBT if I remember it right. I'm really glad that system was removed since that would make the gameplay somewhat restricting and now we have this very immersive and exciting coop events. I'm really glad I supported the right devs and company.

      Yup that's why Kuro make it easy to build char, because you'll need the stats 70 cr/ 250+cr to clear ToA because all damages is a raw damage. Failing to crit will cost your time.
      Main dps Char in wuwa need their cr and cd as high as possible to clear content while Genshin doesn't need their main dps to reach the same amount of cv because they have reaction, additive reaction, transformative reaction, offield sub dps etc, they dont even need 5* weapon to clear abyss.
      While in wuwa, not having 5* weapon would likely fail or really try hard to clear ToA.
      So it's a win/win both side.

    Element reactions made genshin coop dead on arrival, its not possible, wuthering waves intro system and game balance cenered around the characters kit , made wuthering waves combat dynamic and flexible.

      That's how I feel about element reactions. at first glance, it might look unique and interesting. however, the more I play it, the more I realized how restrictive it was. you're forced to play ultimately one play style (character switching). Like, what if all my favorite characters are of the same element? combine this with genshin's slow and stiff movements, this game becomes even more annoying to play.

      And that's why dps in Genshin don't need to have high cr or cd to clear abyss while Wuwa dos need high amount of cr and cd to clear ToA because the damages is a raw damage.
      Abreaction base dps char with 55 cr 160 cD can still clear abyss easily with proper team team.
      Try that amount of cv on Wuwa dps and will see if they can still clear ToA.
      Kuro knows this issue, so they make char build become easy.

      If all element can do elemental reaction with all other element that might be tolerated, but not only that, there is also one elemental reaction that doesn't work on bosses.

    I really enjoyed this new co-op event. It gave me the opportunity to play the support role similar to a generic MMO playstyle. I used Shorekeeper and pumped her HP to around 40k, and used the Shield echo. Just to keep the team mates tanky enough to take a few hits from the Inferno rider.

      Wish you were in my team earlier, we were 3 dps and the mobile characters kept dying lol, I queue even though I'm done to try and carry but it was hilarious we died constantly

    ive been playing as shorekeeper majority of coop games because i dont want to die its fun seeing all types of players some casuals where i have to start spamming dodge so they can revive or the whales that just trivialive the mode i hope they make it a permanent game mode maybe slughtly less rewards its just the most fun ive had in the game since the highs of getting started in the game and pulling characters

    Ngl that mode is so much fun so that my friend who left the game at union lv 48 for months came back to the game just because of it, it was so much fun for him despite his low lv and the difficulty of the mode. We had so much fun with and we even challenged each other by who dies less wins 😂😂

    Honestly as a pgr player im surprised as to how well kuro did coop in wuthering waves so well for context in pgr coop people mainly do that just for the free 5 star shards for weapons and the other coop modes were either really laggy or just not fun at all but then they actually made some limited time coop events that were actually fun so theres that lol

    Its becoming clear to me that by 1st anniversary WUWA is gonna be far and away the best gacha on the market. So much content. Characters are unique and gorgeous plus the QOL consistency 💯

    imo every gamemode event should have permanence built into them. i like all the different combat events, and hope that its possible to enjoy them any time at my own leisure instead of limited events

      Coming from PGR CN's early days they're probably testing the water with the modes cause some can become chores with permanence. They used to have a weekly coop but it wasn't that user friendly and ended up getting scrapped in less than a year.
      That said, make sure to include having the mode as a permanent thing on your feedback as they really try to incorporate ideas that get sent to them.

    This co op mode lets you understand your char better. Instead of learning only from youtube, you experience it first hand from having various combos with unexpected chars you don't have in your acc or char you usually not pairing it with.

    I want to see the monster hunter mode (PGR some patches ago) but with the WuWa spice
    But... You want to know what's best about Kuro's approach to co-op events? Those aren't permanent, they come and go with different iterations, different ways (some more casual or just for fun) and you don't just get tired of it because it's temporary but you crave it.
    And that's what, as a PGR player, like the most about co-op events: you want them to come, to join your peers and just have one goal in common: try your best.

      i feel ike the monster hunter mode is literally the beta test of wuwa as a whole, the grapple mechanic, the intro system, and the outro ulting.
      i mean we have the turts boss having some part breakable, but i think thats an experimental too. we need more gigantic boss with breakable parts where coop became more fun in that sense

    This video covering the need to have healers is only applicable to Challenge mode which has no Astrites rewards.
    Meanwhile The Normal mode co-op which has the Astrite rewards is easy that you don't need a healer, but just all dps as it is just easy 😊

    genshin's combat was very appealing, the elemental reaction system wasn't something you see very often in games, genshin devs just refuse to fully utilize the combat system and instead they want to focus on childish mini-games.

      I'd agree with the elemental reaction since it opens up major team building specially when u have many characters, my only problem with that system is that it's too strong so the whole gameplay revolves around how fast can u nuke the enemy

      If you're a new player to the game, sure, it may feels amazing to do the combat. But after you get to the endgame you realize that genshin combat is not very appealing and is actually not engaging because all you had to do was e, q, and rotate, use i-frame, repeat. There is no dodges, parries, or any mechanic that keeps you engaged in combat, everything is auto pilot. Meanwhile wuwa's combat is actually keeps you in the game and the bosses don't die in 10 seconds and they don't run away but actually keeps slapping you around. The only good part about genshin combat system is the elemental reactions, and that's it.

    The only problem I have with this co-op event is that ITS TOO SHORT!!! The time I having fun is when inferno rider beat my ass for 1 hours and then last day monkey actually just doing same thing over and over till it dead i didn't even die once...
    I hope they add more but with better Boss design.
    Edit: i also hope they add system where you have fixed lv in hard mode so lower level can participate or rent a character.

      Not just more bosses but upgrade existing bosses's moveset is even better, this event they give us the echoes we alr own but with new moves especially the tempest memphis. I kinda hope somewhere in future they will look back and give us something like unlockable tier 2 skills for 4cost echoes.

      yeah this event uses a normal boss moveset, not the holo one, if holo damn its more harder imagine a monkey summoning a ghost little monkey randomly, rider make the field sea of flame, crownless randomly summon tornado, heron flying around and breathe fire, etc

      Yeah it is short and the bosses are mostly using their standard boss moveset (aside from inferno rider) because a clone Mephis sneaking some charged fullscreen death slashes in the middle of the coop chaos would be super scary lol (and fun!)

    as a low UL, I just spammed SK, and made SURE that I'm always alive. Especially on the goddamned Inferno Rider... With that said, it was still A LOT of fun because, again, as you've mentioned, you're not really locked to just using two buttons, you're still really engaged as a support

    The first time i played the hard mode solo i was just frustrated at how difficult and tanky the boss was, managed to defeat heron with 8secs left on the clock and sweating buckets😂😂

    In one of my co-op matches against one of the toughest bosses (I believe Inferno Rider), there was this guy on my team dodging everything flawlessly with Jinhsi. Both I and the other teammate kept dying repeatedly. Near the end of the battle, with the boss hanging by a thread, the guy who had been carrying us finally missed a dodge. Both my teammates went down. The boss had barely any HP left!
    I felt the pressure mount-everything was on me. I activated my echo abilities, dodged perfectly, and bought enough time for my teammates to respawn. Those 10 seconds felt like an eternity, and in that moment, I could genuinely feel the teamwork between me and my stranger allies. I knew they were watching my every move. Instead of focusing on dealing damage, I focused on survival-and that made all the difference.
    Once the full team was back, I was so proud of myself. We hit the boss with everything we had, and no one took any more damage thanks to our echo abilities keeping us alive. Before we even defeated the boss, I knew we’d win together. It was such a fun, magical experience. I added them to my friends list right after, and they accepted. So much fun!

    I heard the open world was co-op in Genshin so I got my friend into it. It sucked, since only one player could interact with anything, and story/quest progression was paused. I really want a big open game with fun combat not to have a "co-op mode" but to have the whole game be playable with a party of friends. That said, it sounds like WuWa is the best by far in the realm of gacha game co-op.

      As a long time genshin player and a short time Honkai Star Rail Player, I can confirm, WuWa ist just the best. I stopped playing the other games entirely now, just because I just do not want to engage with Hoyoverse much longer. It sucks, because I actually spent some money on genshin, but it's just better to cut your losses and go to a better game with better combat and better devs, that actually listen to the community. Like, I dont really feel the need to spend money, but I actually want to, because of the respect I have for the Kuro Devs

    This hologram bosses coop is the best coop content in gacha games so far. Not only is it hard, players are also encouraged to improve their skills because the bosses can 1 shot you and if without strategy and skills, you will constantly die. Great content. Tbh, this coop is far better than coops in PGR (except the 1st release of Gabriel starfall coop where the boss is tanky, hits super hard, only 1 revive per character but needs the other player to revive you and the environment where the "sun" can literally kill you in 5 seconds if you don't hide behind rocks while the boss jumps around and attacks you) and Kuro has definitely improved their coop in this game so much that its like a reward for players who have been playinb the game for a long time.

    Elemental reactions crippled Genshin's co-op potential that's why they just went with the mini game route, WuWa doesn't have that problem, sure intro/outro skills have great effects but when modified echoes that are free and is universally available and offers a variety of utility, buffs, debuffs and damaging skills it gives us players the freedom to play whoever we want how ever we want and have fun without the need to artificially handicapping ourselves by missing out "reactions" which is pretty much 60-70% of the combat of the other game

      Idk about that, but Genshin has co-op events like what Wuwa did once(I forgot on what version), the difference is the stage gives some mechanics for players to activate to weaken the boss. And the last I remember, players in that event understand what char to pick for a suitable reaction, so I don't see any problem with reaction would ruin the coop, unless some of the player is toxic and intentionally want to ruin everyone else, like what I exp in wuwa coop event today where one of teammates run far away and do nothing xD

    totally agree with all your points except for the permanent game mode. the novelty of limited events like this is fomo. if this becomes permanent it may become boring real fast. also, having events like these limited will allow kuro to pace themselves specially with how they designed the event-exclusive echoes

      Thats so real, i got blinded by my own character (chang li) and teammates jinshi and shorekeeper. Theres too much animations going on and coulndt see nothing for a while.

    Coop in Wuwa is peak with this latest event, it got even better when I learned that when a coop ally’s intro skill is up, you can press their corresponding # key to use YOUR intro skill. Changed the game for me. My C6 Taoqi is now a top tier coop character

    WuWa actually gave me fun with randos co-op which is new for me lol. Little interactions in chat (like complaining about one shot Dark souls ahh bosses) are cherry on top

    Two points to note here;
    1. Low UL player can solo with lv90 Trial Resonators as well. It's an option.
    2. I heard Jinhsi doesn't generate enough Forte on her own in co-op mode.

      As a Jinshi main that´s 50/50 true... the lack of forte tbh is only noticeable in the start of the run, but after the COOP mates start cooking forte Jinshi starts to enter incarnation mode with non stop literally.

      Jinhsi with dupe is easy but without it you need to have your eyes on available intro skills and use all her skills available. No more just press E when the skill goes golden. I find it fun that way but she will naturally deal less dps.

    I did not expect to enjoy this current coop event like I did...I'm just playing it for fun and I never do that in Genshin's events.
    I have never wanted to go back and challenge myself with other players...and it's not even like Kuro held back either. They could have made it the basic Inferno Rider, but no...they went all out with the level six hologram version...and I love it. They're not afraid to challenge the players in a meaningful way and there are players who clearly WANT to clear the harder stages, even if the rewards are almost meaningless.

      No, seriously, like what part of coop in Genshin is fun? Everything dies instantly. Even if you get a chance to actually fight the boss, no one knows how to fight or dodge because everyone runs Zhongli and dies. Leaving you alone to battle the terrible netcode if it decides it just hates you that day.
      Oh and if the host leaves the world, everyone gets booted instantly mid fight.
      Did I mention most characters aren't even built for coop in mind so they have long 10-15 second windows where you are literally doing nothing because your entire character is their skill or burst.
      This doesn't even compare to the event anyway because you can pick up echos that could cover your team's weaknesses. If you think you need healing but your team has no healers, there's an echo for that.
      Need some utility in some damage buffs or stunning the boss? Echos for that too.
      This is just a failure on your part.

    I have tried it in single player mode. It seems the recommended level is correct. I just cannot do much to the boss within the time limit. The default surviving summons are quite great.

    The thing i like about this co-op event is, they give us echoes skill that anyone can choose. And all of them is good. So even if you're low-level account, at least you can help others by being a healer and defensive echoes.

    this is the 1st coop i experience where there is actually a need to do your best, some show off there crazy builds some showcases and maximize there 4star character like aalto and this is enjoyable because bosses actually has the capacity to wipe the entire party with a single shot

    Despite the lack of news about illusive realm, i did notice the door has returned just not opened, cause normally it wouldn't be seen unless it was around to be open, and it even vamishes as it ends, so maybe it's indeed coming back, but probably not with any new themes.

    That one time both my teammates died and told me, "LIVE" was when I managed to unlock my ultra instinct. Shoutout to Jue, too, for making the bosses easier to handle.
    In the future, I would love to see co-op dungeons consisting of multiple floors with mazes/puzzles that need the team's full cooperation
