So underrated and under appreciated in his time. Scatman was directed by Stanley Kubrick, Steven Spielberg and Milos Forman. Was in two films with Jack Nicolson. He had a music career before his acting career.
I always liked the man. Grew up watching Hong kong phooey. An actor who showed only a little of his talent in The Shining, and should have been asked to play in more dramatic parts. He had the gift.
Johnny.... legendary TV giant, but he didnt show much respect for one who was busting his ass as musician, actor, comedian and entertainer.. Why not start with how long he's been going...since 1925... 51 yrs to that NY show... Johnny Carson was where exactly before this TV deal.? Long forgotten and sadly, one of the most humble men who towers over Carson This was disappointing to watch. "Here I am, black again"!
Alien Air --- Mr. Crothers isn't forgotten, as long as he lives in our hearts. His smile, and gentle demeanor shows how a real man transitioned the fire of perhaps being under appreciated....he didn't seem to be bitter or angry despite the challenges. May he rest easy in Heaven with souls who love and appreciate him as he deserves.
Perfect man to voice Jazz.
hes so charming

He was in FOUR films with Jack Nicholson (The Fortune, The King of Marvin Gardens, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and The Shining).
@dreamquesttv I don't remember him in One Flew Over... and I ain't never even heard of the other two.

Scatman Crothers (1910-1986)

Johny Carson (1925-2005)

@@OceanSwimmer Yes.. you're right.
Didn’t see ol’ Scat crying “RACISM”, and looting and stabbing and shit.
I was 10 years old when this was aired
Dick Hallorann and Jazz
Autobots Jazz & Hong Kong Phooey!!!!
Audience was dim.... 😒
cool legend
Was that a deliberate Freudian slip at the start saying "black... back again"?
Scatman was such a nice and talented guy but man that magic trick sucked haha
Jazz!
Those jokes were terrible
Everyone is a critic
I agree. I love Scatman but I was embarrassed for him myself after all these years.🤦🏽♂️🤣🤣🤣
That magic trick was awful. Love his voice, though.
@@OverdriveponyI suspect that the coin never left his right pocket.
