Patti not only sounded better than ever (I think she needs Nona and Sarah to bring that out IMO) but she looked fantastic! One thing nobody has commented on is the fact that Patti, on Friday night, had a padded behind with long pheasant feathers sticking out! The minute the audience saw that, when Patti turned to the side, we all started laughing and clapping! PURE Labelle!! Always treading that fine line without fear! Love these girls!
When you are a diabetic sometimes you can't control the "levels". My grandmother was diabetic and she would get what they call sugar attacks randomly sometimes. Patti can't help it. There is only so much she can do and she did the right thing about getting something to eat. She's been dealing with this for years. I'm sure she knows the situation.

Keeping tradition with finishing their last albums with bang-up ballad finales (i.e. "Last Dance," "You Turn Me On," "Going Down Makes Me Shiver"), the new Labelle album closes with the masterpiece "Miss Otis Regrets." While the rest of the CD pales in comparison to this 1930's tour-de-force remake, it alone makes the Back to Now CD worth having in your collection. It does not do the group justice to have their new release on jazz label, Verve Records, and packaged like a budget CD reissue.
I know at some point during these shows Nona and Sarah wanna say WE ARE GROWN WOMEN if we wanna get up on the band stand or touch a fan WE CAN, I wish these security people go somewhere and sit down!!!! These women been in the business 40-50 years give me a break! They surely know when and when not to do something!

THe concerts are always sold out but the album is not at its best sells
