Had a vinyl deck since about 2004, company no longer exists (phillip morris deck lock). So since you are going to get the marketing spiel here lets look at impartial and empirical facts from a homeowner. 1. Pick a company/corporation that is been around for a long while (warranty replacement parts, installers) 2. Vinyl/PVC/composites do fade regardless of what company produces it. I have a SW exposure and the sun has really bleached it. 3. Composites will shrink in cold and expand in heat. Do not freak out if it is cold and you see gaps. It is natural 4. Go with solid state planks (no hollow). Not even sure they make hollow anymore. Hail will damage hollow plank 5. Do not hire a moron to install your deck, go and look at projects they have done. It is big investment not to.
Hey Johnny, if it helps you out we chose NewTechWood Decking and absolutely love it! Here's our review (100% not sponsored, just a review and DIY guide on how we put it down): ua-cam.com/video/qgjHV3gD5wo/v-deo.html
