I still have my original pristine 'Cocoon' (1985) vinyl record which I have played hundreds of times, but not for many years now, so it's a treat to hear this soundtrack suite highlighting all of the best aspects of James Horner's very moving score. :)

“Cocoon” (1985), is surely something you have never encountered before… Aliens and old people don’t seem to match up but in this movie, under the direction of Ron Howard, this plot gets going, and due to its success eventually spawning a sequel.
Cocoon marks the first collaboration between director Ron Howard and James Horner. What seems to be a delicate and heartful score, would also open the doors for director and composer to be able to collaborate on great projects like “Willow” (1988) or “Apollo 13” (1995). Enjoy!

A beautiful film and an excellent score by James Horner who started out scoring really "interesting" films from the likes of Rodger Cormen. Even back then, his music was really good. This brings back happier times. Thanks Fred!

Hello, Fred! Ronny Howard & Jimmy Horner's experience in " Cocoon " is the same as Spielberg & Williams ' in "E.T. ". Note than both soundtracks are extremely sentimental. This happens because both stories deal with the painful theme of farewell, but they are science _ fiction, a cold genre that, if it doesn't have an element _ the emotion _ which replaces this coldness, causes the audience to become distant ( as happened with " THX 1138 " and " Blade Runner " ). But the lesson was learned: in both " E.T. " and " Cocoon ", the heart beat the machine. Thanks and bye!!!

Great Horner score...except when he lifted a section of his Star Trek II score i remember gasps from the audience when the Khan themes played.

Maybe 🤔, you can do a video about James Horner’s score for An American Tail (1986).

      Hello gabbergrabber,
it seems that due to copyright reasons the video was taken down, unfortunately.
A new edit, sparing out the certain tracks could do better... Soon I will try.
      Best to you!
      Fred

    Great Fred❤👏🏻
    Great James Horner❤👏🏻
I often associate listening to this music with memories of my grandparents and other relatives who are no longer here!🥲
It would be wonderful to regain energy and vitality by taking a nice bath!😉
Fun and gentle comedy-fantasy, metaphor of hope and glorification of life. Alongside the glorious elderly actors Don Ameche (Oscar winner) and Hume Cronyn, two scions of art: Tahnee Welch, Raquel's daughter, and Tyrone Power Jr. Oscar also for special effects.
Curiosity: If I wanted to become a UA-camr, what equipment do I need? What is the right place to broadcast?
