TRUE ROMANCE ~ Tarantino commentary ~ Debra Jo & Lee

Quentin Tarantino mentions me and my beloved ex Debra Jo Fondren, (1978 Playmate of the Year) on the writer's commentary for "True Romance"...here's why:
2002, fabulous DJ and I are leaving a Halloween party at the Playboy Mansion. Debra Jo's walking in front of me when I hear her squeal, "Oh my God! Quentin Tarantino! WE LOVE YOU!" Which was just so true...if our conversations were broken down into a pie chart, roughly one-16th of everything she and I said to each other in those days were quotes from his first four films.
"So sorry dude...if you were anybody else I'd leave you alone but what the fuck do I care? We based our whole wedding on your first script! We based our whole relationship on 'True Romance!' Best movie ever!"
Pull out my wallet, show him a few photos of us getting married by The King at the Graceland Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas...(to this day, if you go there they still have a big portrait of us on the wall right next to Bon Jovi and the drummer from Def Leppard.)
Debra just goes right over and hugs him. "I'm Debra Jo, we are your biggest fans!"
He really lights up, you can see it in his eyes ~ "Debra Jo - with the really long hair!" Described her PMOY cover right down to the silver comb.
We got to hang out with him a few times after that ~ at his house, no less! one of the all-time most amazing things I ever got to experience with Debra Jo...unbelievably nice, the man's a genius.
How I love my Debra Jo. :)
Then I watch his new movie and it's a love letter to the only city where I've ever felt at home ~ "Once Upon A Time...in Hollywood." I even saw a quick shot of our old building.
Credits end, make up my mind on the spot. I'm going BACK.
