  • My rebuild of a dirty beat up old resin ship kit of the USS California and modifying it into the USS Tennessee as it may have appeared on December 7 1941.

I have never built a resin kit ever. I did buy a detail kit for a jagdtiger and about lost it. My problem in guessing was having the parts stay together. I washed them thoroughly let them dry, but half the time the adhesive wouldn't do what it was suppose to .

Dealing with resin is a whole new learning curve. Unfortunately, cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) is about all that works.

Well it sounds your a fellow Utahn , you talked about Fort Douglas . Very impressive work . Have you ever thought about doing the USS Utah or the USS Salt Lake City ( Old sway back ) ?

To my knowledge I'm the only person that has a model of the USS Utah as she sat the morning of December 7th 1941. I've done a show on it before here on my channel. It is in 1/425 scale. My good friend who has passed away Kirt Greniger built to the USS Salt Lake city that has been up at the Fort Douglas Museum
