I think it’s a great point, half the issue is that people see it as a success game like oh I’m at 100k subs. It shouldn’t be about that. We just try and have fun and if the success comes fair enough. It’s just nice when you get someone you’ve never met asking you when your next video is or being gutted that they missed you last stream

Soo true. It still blows me away, across both my channels, the connections & sense of community that creators can build and foster. Love that. There is value in THAT.

I agree and UA-cam should listen to that :) Last Feb 20th, I felt like a number. :(

It was very easy to feel that way at the cut-off, but that's why this channel exists. We are all in this together

btw, about the subs: People thinks that number of subscribers is proportional to the content quality, but it's not. Everyday I have people that subscribes just to get me to do the same on their channels (but they even comment about that). It won't work for me. Usually I visit my subscriber's channels if they don't ask, and if I like, see some quality and the subject interests me, I will do it. But not by asking. It is annoying as hell. What's the point of having 5000 users if they don't see or engage with my content? People just don't understand. (with so many sub words, probably this will go to your spam box ehehehe)

Im so glad i stumbled on this video. I was getting so caught up in the analytics of my previous videos that it started to discourage me from uploading more videos. Thanks for the moral boost man! Very helpful and much needed!

You are very welcome. Keep up the great work and it will happen. UA-cam (and all social media) is all about consistency, work and a little bit of luck. Mostly the first two though.

I haven’t been discovered yet brother!!!
Just kidding. I would much rather have a smaller subscriber number but a much more interactive community.
I think your videos are top notch and I watch a a bunch of analytic channels.
We can all improve on our content. I know my banner sucks, my thumbnails are crap. I put little effort into my tags as far as researching SEO but I enjoy making videos so here I am.
Another great video. Thanks for the info.

ps I shared your channel on a Facebook Homesteading page. Hopefully some people came over. I like that you’re still small and we can get answers to our questions. Brian G is too big now. But you’ll blow up too. Just remember us little guys when you do. 👍

Thank you! That is so awesome. Not just to help more people, but the idea of a 'homesteading page' sound incredible.

I stopped looking into growth numbers as I used too. It wasn't really doing any good to my self value just stressing myself all the time about how my subscriber growth of course is very slow as a gaming channel.

Depending on your goals, sometimes it's just not the point. Growth is great and we all appreciate it, but sometimes we all have to realize if we focus on what our channel's are actually about, that the growth naturally comes.
