Our beloved Geoffrey Arnold Beck a.k.a. Jeff Beck, has left us........ a vast encyclopedia of recorded music 🎶 and live videos of his incredible virtuoso guitar 🎸 playing. I looked up Manic Depression, from the Hendrix tribute record, because it isn't available to download, and came across this gem! Beautiful. Jimi Hendrix and Jeff Beck, both live on, lucky for us, with their wonderful music. All love and gratitude 🙏 beloved Mr. Beck. 🕉
I was blessed to witness the master twelve times in my life! Starting with a Day On the Green, and ending with Z.Z. Top in 2014. Thank goodness. Now it's these great UA-cam videos. Awesome.
Yup - in a way, a very high class one, each ticket costing almost as much as the full door take on a normal festival, all going to charity, band also included Gary Brooker, Eric Clapton, Mike Rutherford (all local Surrey neighbours) among may others, all playing for free, although us techs were quite well paid. The chap strolling in from the left, amazed and enthralled is me - leaving my stage monitor position to get a closer look at this incredible performance, bringing Jimi's spirit back for a moment, because this song (second on first side of his first album) was the one that got to me and has always remained a favourite, since age 14...
Please...? Anyway - from a private festival at Wintershall, a huge estate in county of Surrey, uk, just South of Guildford: arranged by owner of Selfridges in his garden, one of uk's most prominent businessmen, to raise money for Heart Foundation charity to provide care for sufferers and researching new medical techniques - group put together by Gary Brooker of Procol Harum, who lives locally along with quite a few other performers. Summer of 2014...
Excellent

More than anyone else, JB has taken up the gauntlet thrown down by Hendrix, and taken it to the next level ! Much thanks to both of you!
