      @@NZMOPAR You bet my friend. With no get togethers allowed now it is really going to mess things up indeed. I guess all we can do is cary on with all our plans and hope by fall this nasty thing is behind us when the time comes. I suppose the best way to deal with this is to cary on like nothing has happened but obeying the rules eh. You and yours take care my friend.

    If you start hammering from the outside in it's more effective as it locks the edge & has a greater effect

    Its always amazing to me to watch sheet metal guys work. To the uniformed it just looks like they are beating the crap out of something and it looks like ass. but a few minutes later you can see it working, and after a trip or two through the english wheel, not near as ugly!

    Love your vids, I'm learning a ton! Quick questions - did you make the shrinking stump yourself? Does one type of wood work better than others? Stay safe up there.

    • @OutlawEdge

      Eric Tessmer yeah i made it with a chainsaw. And only use a hardwood because it takes lots of abuse. Lol. Thanks. ARCO MN OUTLAW CUSTOMS

      If you can't find a proper stump check out Wray Schelin from proshaper and his "shrinking facilitators". Basically he builds a "stump" out of regular framing lumber covered in rubber.

    Been watching here lately, good stuff. But this one kinda' got me scratching my head. You make the folds but end up pounding them out straight and looks like its just bending from impact, in the stump.Which; isn't a dent just a stretch? haven't had enough coffee yet this morning I guess..

    • @OutlawEdge
      @OutlawEdge  4 роки тому +2

      k j thats what i was doing is just to show how u can stretch metal with a tuck shrinker and tuck shrink stump. Im gonna be more videos soon with lots more info. Thanks so much for your support and nice comments brother

    • @mavigogun
      @mavigogun 3 роки тому

      I, too, reckon this is a “shrink” in name only. It would be worthwhile to take some micrometer readings off a deep caliper- compare marked locations before and after -to identify any cross sections alleged to be thickened by this process.

    Rather than shrinking, this method appears to be stretching an adjacent region.
