It would be interesting to hear from people who did not get married so young. As a woman in my 40s, I think it's easy for 20 something's to say "wait" because they haven't waited a long time.
I would love to see a video on the reality of life ( singleness, etc) in your 40’s and 50’s. This video assumes getting married in your 20’s -LOL. Who does that anymore, esp if you are building a career, etc? It’s easy to hang in there for a few years when you are 20….. what about when someone is in their 30’s, 40’s and 50’s?
That’s actually a very valid point. I am in my 30’s and single. And dating is very challenging these days. I’ve had to really take a back seat and continue to believe God for my divine partner. Which isn’t always easy, if I’m being honest. Though I’am no longer in my 20’s or married, this video does provide hope and some great dating suggestions. Even while waiting.
i am 17 and i always had a desire to get married and as i watched this video ,you taught me somethings i didn"t know about marriage and being single and even my walk with god.
I can’t believe I’m even responding to a couple of comments about the interviewing pastors wife! She is obviously a very confident woman to remain silent! She is nothing but lovely, a support to her husband and even though she doesn’t say anything, she is very engaging! I’m sorry…Christian or not…grow up!
Me too! I've never had a boyfriend but GOD is on the throne! And I am learning to love myself in this time of singleness, learning to love GOD the right way, and learning to be a strong humble single woman of GOD. I have JESUS which is more than enough.
I’m the prime example that God doesn’t always give you the desires of your heart. I always prayed for my future husband and future children since I was a teenager. I’ll be 45 years old this year and now the desires of my heart are not to get married or have kids. I’ll never know why God didn’t bless me with that area of my life. I’ve even been shunned from a church that told me that there’s no one single at my age and maybe I should go to another church. Thank God my faith is strong and I will always try to live my life for the Lord even though I never got married.
I wish I would’ve heard that one part about thinking about your actions for your future spouse cause omg being my my future husband now I wish we made better decisions for each other it feels so sucky at times. 🤕 but I hope it moved your heart & perspective. you can be in charge of your future starting at this beautiful age✨🌱
1) Relationships in Christianity are treated like a price, actually wanted more than building a relationship with God and so that's why singleness feels like a punishment. People say use singleness to draw near to God and all but that can easily be translated to "Draw near to God so you can be rewarded with a relationship" and so it ends up looking like you're trying to use God to get what you want. 2) The lady with the interviewer probably shouldn't have been there. She looks uncomfortable and I feel uncomfortable just seeing her not get a word in loool.
As I listen to this interview as a single man29y.o. It's bothering to hear this and inspiring. As you marry that one I thought it was just between two people but to hear that's it's ok to have others involved in certain aspects of the marriage that's kind of crazy to hear. So thanks for the knowledge
Having to tell your future spouse what you did with your previous relationships.... That's what hit me deeply. Just saying you didn't have sex is one thing, but what wouldn't you feel great/ happy about sharing with them? Ooof. Thanks, Pastors.
Umm where is this church and why didn’t I have better people around me in my environment. This is my wake up call year 💕 getting closer to god and learning to love my single life
TMI in the first 2 mins. I lost interest. I was ready to change it quickly but then I saw pastor Curt.. I figured I would give it another min. Thanks guys
I don’t necessarily think it was appropriate for the interviewer to call her bougie. But other than that, I enjoyed this video of pastor Charles and his wife from TCNATION.
Should you also feel so blessed and savor being single when you're in your forties or fifties and have been praying for God to bless you with marriage for many years? I feel like it's always the married people who say how much we should be happy about being single while they don't know what it's like to not have anyone to share life with....
I’m in the same situation…it would be nice to see interviews that discuss this very topic. Where are the forever singles who pray for a spouse and do not receive him/her? Im happy for the Metcalfs…beautiful love story but I would really like to hear the other side of those who have and continue to wait well into their 40s and 50s.
What about if your being emotionally abused for 20+ years? What should you do when you’ve prayed for years and asked God to use you as an example of God in the relationship not saying anything. Just by loving no matter what.
Hey... can you please explain the part about telling your spouse what you did in your old relationships? What's the purpose of this? Are you saying confess your past mistakes and sins? Like if you were a womanizer in your past.. wouldn't that hurt your spouse to know and break any trust you've built? Why tell her if God already forgave you and put it behind you? Just worried that would bring a lot of mess into marriage? Thank you!
And that’s exactly what they mean by that saying they go by “H.O.T” humble, open , and trust . U cannot heal if are hiding things before they had the conversation they had already prayed and ask god are they supposed to be with one another
“Even if you mess up you can still honor God with today” Amen💯
hahahaha
“if God is not enough, no man/woman can ever be!” amen, really love the authenticity and fun and Godly wisdom here! :)
I am in the middle of a stressful situation with my husband after 1 year of marriage. I am so happy that I listen to this. Pray for us.
Praying for you!
How are you guys today?!
The videography team that handled this is amazing!!
Thank you so much!
@@michaelcarlos2906 Thank you for your work!!
wow, love that, "anything you get into can only be as healthy as you are", so true!
I love these guys and their willingness to be transparent. I'm so glad that they are part of Transformation Church.
24 hours later was me in June !!! Prayed the same prayer and gbam 24 hours later everything took a different turn. That prayer takes a lot of courage.
The way they look at each other❤😭😭😭😭 u can tell God put them together
Wow, what a beautiful & authentic Christian couple! Their love for the Lord is so inspiring! God is so good 😭🙌🏼❤️
Love the Metcalfs, so honest and real! Great practical advice!
It would be interesting to hear from people who did not get married so young. As a woman in my 40s, I think it's easy for 20 something's to say "wait" because they haven't waited a long time.
Exactly! They have no idea how it is to be single in their 40’s. I think I’ve been pretty patient.
Amen different perspective

"Anything you're in can only be as healthy as you are" - come on PC!!
I love this..." I didn't know I needed someone who is introverted..."
Lord if it is your will that I be with her, and marry her. We will be watching this together in three months time. Amen.

That lady is offering nothing but head nods and facial expressions lol bless her heart
Lol 😆
I noticed this, too.
Maybe she is an introvert and is not used to being on camera like that.
Moral support Is totally fine. No shade
This entire conversation blew me way! Wow wow wow
“God always meets us at the point of our expectations”
Thankyuo Metcalf family for your vulnerability, faith, joy, honestly and willingness to lead people. I love listening to you guys ❤️

I thank God that he is with me in this! I trust God. I depend on His strength to get through the day.

the older woman?
@@zyleymacruz333 yes
Hmm “anything you are in can only be as healthy as you are”
I thought that was Chance The Rapper 🤣
I think this interview was a bad one because they did not let the older woman talk as if she has nothing important or meaningful to say. She does!
"God said" "God told me" "God spoke to me" not sure about that buddy
