You are my FAV content creator!!! You inspired me to become a guinea pig mom and now i have two spoiled guinea pigs. Im thinking about getting a bearded dragon but the bugs throw me off so much
My exotics vet always goes "You do so much for them." and I'm like "Wait, people come here and try to skimp? This is exotics." and he nodded sadly. He's always happy to see pics of her living her best life after I rescued her and brought her to the vet to get healthy.

The amount of veggies I buy for my piggies is insane! They can be VERY expensive. But I would do anything for them lol
They are so cute. I was surprised to learn that in Peru they raise Guinea pigs like people raise rabbits of chickens for food. They eat them.

You can cut out the vitamin supplements as long as they are getting their veggies. Healthy guinea pigs do not need a supplement. Not to mention they contain sugar in them.
You can also feed your guinea pigs 1 tablespoon of pellets a day (not 2 like the American recommendation). I will say that as long as they are getting those veggies, you don't need to buy them pellets…at all.
You also don't need to buy them chews. They are not going to wear their teeth down at all. This is what hay is for. There is nothing wrong with them, and they serve as a great treat, however, they are not necessary.

Wow I spend way more than that on my two dogs and cats! Plus you didn't mention insurance or vet bills... I get vet bills aren't monthly, but if an animal gets sick and needs monthly meds, that total will go waaaay up, so you need to make sure you have additional money in case of that. I have one cat with a heart murmur and diabetes and a dog with allergies, I spend apporx £480-£500 per MONTH on their meds.

What about fresh greens for the bunny and pigs? I've had rabbits for 25 years and I've never fed pellets. I buy a small bag for IQ toys and that's it. Don't forget that you need an exotic vet and they are not cheap.

Girl you are doing good considering the variety of animals you have.. I spend $100 a month just on pellets for 4 buns and 2 hippos. I use Sherwood pellets. I've added another bun in the last week. I spend $150 roughly on veg and greens/herbs and freaking bananas for them a month. A 50lb box of orchard grass hay every 2 months. Around $80. A 50lb box of timothy around every 4-6 months $80. A 50lb bale of bermuda hay every 4-6 months $20. I buy 1-2 bags of oxbow oat hay $6 each a month. Bag of extreme botanical timothy $6. 4 bags of forage mix a month $20. 1 x tub bunny probiotics every 2 months $20. I make papaya enzyme treats for the bunnies. Treats in general around $15 a month. Add in chews, toys and all that fun stuff. Forgot the feed sacks of oats and sunflower seeds I only buy these yearly. I have Angora rabbits these help with fiber production. And then there is the fussy ass cat....
