    Hello, thank you for the video. I have Silver Dollar and Baby Blue eucalyptus in 5 gallon pots. I grow these plants as a hobby and occasionally sell the stems, but mostly give away as gifts. They are only 1 and 2 year old and I would like to see them to grow to their potential . Can I use this method for both varieties in pots? Langley, B.C. Canada

    Thank you for this video. I love this plant very much. My question is: what is the lowest temperature it can survive ?

    i just bought me a baby eucalyptus and want to keep it in a massive pot as a 4ft, 5ft bonsai tree

    So, if I'm planting in the northern hemisphere my pruning time would be March or April, right? As our seasons are reversed?

    • @MrWilliamgottelier
      @MrWilliamgottelier 3 роки тому +1

      feb - march, ideally before the growing season starts depending on where you are. :)

      @@MrWilliamgottelier I'm in SE New Mexico, on the high desert. Plants that survive here begin to grow in late February. Just moved here this Feb. and I can see that if water hits a plant at all it will start to grow. Then sometimes a hard freeze will occur and kill back new growth. Would love to try this eucalyptus and technique just wondering if it will survive some of our extremes in weather.

    Is the word and term - Coppicing only for Eucaliptus or a group of plants with Lignotubers? Or is this a general term used for deep pruning. What time of year are you doing your deep pruning and what is the weather like then. How cold do you get in the winter? Thanks so much for your content. I much appreciate learning from you. - Martie K

    What a waste! I use the leaves to make essential oil. You can use the oil for lots of benefits including
    Mosquito Repellent.
    Clear Stuffy Nose.
    Ease Arthritis Pain.
    Post-Surgery Painkiller.
    Calm Pre-Op Nerves.
    Polish Off Plaque.
    Chew Away Dental Problems.
    Endless uses… ❤

    Wouldn't putting this plant in the compost be bad for the insect and other "bug" and microbe community. I have always know eucalyptus to deter insects such as flies 🪰 and mosquitoes 🦟
