I feel like we just skirted over the valve tronic issue
He did skip over but he did mention buying a new unit as he got the one from ebay, I have had the experience of a new aftermarket part not working and having to go get the dealer part at a higher cost. Its part of the game some parts are dead on arrival

@5:00 he said he's gonna install the new valvue tronic on the car and hopefully the valvue tronic system regains functionality, he also says of everythign goes to plan he'll get the car out
Use a newer autel or diagnostic and run a full valvetronic re learn, I had the issue for a year and the procedure wouldn't clear the code until I did it recently with a later diagnostic! The car revs itself about 50 times then switches off and the valvetronic learns the positions about 40 times. You can see the progress on screen on the autel, once done I can guarantee that will fix it and no more code! Did it on my 140 and on my mates m4. Trick is using a pro level up to date diagnostic. I used the autel maxsys 909 while connected to the net. The older diagnostics would run the procedure but the error code would remain 👍
This will 99 percent sure fix the valvetronic. The issue is the motor gets confused if the battery runs too low or other reasons and puts the valvetronic in to safe mode and basically stops it functioning. It may be under the special functions option when looking at the DME on the diagnostic but it's definetely there. Its called something like valvetronic re learn or calibration Good luck

4.5v is good. If u saw 5v then u should get a dtc saying curcuit high or open circuit.
