btw i dont recommend sharing mac folders to windows user folders. Sims 2 has a hard time reading shared parallels documents folder, so its better to use the local parallels one

amazing tutorial!! only thing is definitely DONT mirror mac and windows folders bc it caused some bugs for me (and wasn’t able to install any lots and were missing some folders in my documents folder). It took me ages to figure out why i was missing the LotCatalog file, then i unmirrored it regenerated the document files and it was all working!!

Thank you SO much for the tutorial! I was able to run the game on my M1pro in windowed mode, however it gives me a DirectX 9 error if I try to run it normally (in full screen). Do you know what might be causing this? 🤔

hi, i have a question, why m1 macbook do you have? I have macbook air 2020, would i be able to play the game on that, i have around 290 gb of free space?
can i save the game to my external hard drive? im asking bc i would prefer to keep my game in the hard drive since it has more space than my mac... thanks for the vid!
Each time I try to open the game it says "Failed to find any DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics adapters in the System". I don't know what to do I tried to download DirectX 9.0c but a notification always would pop up and say try again later. Help me please = (((((((((

Yes, I was playing regularly through Parallels and the performance is great! Now my trial has expired, and I am still deciding if I want to buy it... But it turned out that you can get a new trial if you uninstall Parallels and download it again! You just have to back up your *.pvm file with a Windows virtual machine. I guess I'll keep doing it for now :)

hello, i’m not seeing the video cards folder to paste over for the pink soup fix, just the graphics rules maker. any tips? (macbook M1 pro here)
hi! what do you mean by video cards folder? you need to download two sgr files from the link in the description and paste them to the folder \Fun with Pets\SP9\TSData\Res\Config\ :)
In principle it worked for me, but there is one big BUT, the game does not allow me to change the resolution under any circumstances, the choice is only 1 -600*400
I don’t have or can’t find the two Previously downloaded files “Graphics rules” you put in the folder, so I’m stuck with the pink soup.
I also didnt get the “graphics” folder under “Icloud drive(Mac)” please lmk if you know why that is happening and thank you 🙏

go into the sims 2 rpc settings and change it from full screen to boarderless!! should work then :)

oki, I downloaded the 64 bit but at the graphic setting part when I have to locate the folder, which I did . It doens't allow me to save my setting ? is it normal@@natalietinker
