Here are a few tips from a prestige 9, if you’re interested:
1: Watch for openings in combos. Ovitrox sp2, for example, give you an opening to block or roar after the dmg is dealt.
2: Don’t always get in your opponents face after ending a combo, which is done with combo ending moves. (Such as lc3 and Reptilios sp2)
3: Be patient.
4: Observe habits. Your opponent has their habits when it comes to what moves they use and how they use them. Watch, note, use it against them.
These are just a few things I know I can explain decently.
