Hi brother!🇭🇲🇺🇲My mum used to make a delicious curried sausages when I was a kid mate one of the tricks is to fry the sausages first and wipe off any excess oil, that one the Swedish lady made looks nice but it needs to be a thicker consistency like a good gravy mate it also needs some large chunks of carrot and I like to put brussel sprouts in mine as their like a sponge and soaks up all the goodness👍🤤 Love the channel mate hope you and the family are well!💙 Love from Sunnybank Brisbane!🙏
Definitely need to fry the sausage first, then the onions and curry powder before adding the water, along with the peas and not only carrots but also cauliflower florets. Add a little tomato sauce also and I agree that the consistency in the photo was far too watery. Hopefully, they let it simmer down to become a thicker sauce/gravy consistency before serving it on rice.
I prefer to boil the sausages, remove the skins and then brown them. Carrots, peas and corn are my preferred veg. Along with the curry powder (or paste) I add tomato paste, a slosh of Worcestershire sauce. Of course, onion and garlic too.
The 'OPEN' flag is just to show that a 'Home Open' is there. When a house is for sale and open for viewing at a particular time it is called a 'Home Open' (there will be an estate agent there to show people around). - The house to be viewed is probably in the door/gate right beside the flag. (The flag is a bit big, but won't be there for long).

Tim and Tom will be getting sued for passing off infringement
Curried snags on mashed potato is the perfect winter meal. Also the 462 is yen (afterall why would they advertise in Aussie dollars in Japan?), which puts it roughly on par with $6.50-$7 AUD.
Nah, 462 YEN = $4.60 Australian so the poster on reddit was actually correct!
@Dr_KAP I'll be honest, I hadn't been following the exchange rate. I stand corrected. My calculation was on the rate I was familiar with from previous dealings. Many moons ago.
Being an American tradition I gather candy was used to keep in the theme. As for the door being open, yeah that will be for their dog, IE, theft deterrent system.
It's not an American tradition, it's pagan, European in origin.
There's an American Candy store near me, no thanks!
CQuinnLady You Fail to see that the Halloween every one knows is the one when seen in shows and movies set in America there for everyone now see it as American.
@@killzoneisa doesnt change the origin, every other culture is celebrated by the correct respective indigenous people, why try to erase ours all the time? its okay to be european we have the most rich and beautiful cultures in the world and i think others get a little bit jelly of that fact
@@killzoneisa Then better to educate instead of making false claims.
I live in a high crime area of a regional NSW town and I leave the front and back screen doors open all the time, the back one is not even locked. The two hounds standing at the front door is the best advertisement to try another house crims. The two hounds bounding out the back door and rounding you up for a nibble is even better. There's a saying here "A locked door only keeps the honest ones out".
16:37 came home from the beach one afternoon to find several birds eating our breakfast crumbs off the kitchen table. Knew it was a gamble leaving the back door open, but didn’t expect the wildlife to let themselves in.
Mmm. Curried snags!
In Britain, a lolly is essentially a sweet (or candy in the US) on a stick. It is short for lollipop. Now that all seems fairly straight-forward, until we learn that *lolly is actually the Australian word for sweets - i.e. British lollies but without the sticks.*
nah we say sweets more often than lolly
It is common in UK coast towns for Seagulls to walk into shops, nick a chocolate bar and walk out. They need a dessert after nicking one's chips (fries).
Some people are SO easy to scam. If you get such a text or message, ring the bank on IT"S OFFICIAL number, not the number they give you to ring.
i laughed at the "im a tech savvy 22yr old"
I think they thought it was legit because the previous legit ANZ text history appeared above the scam text message.
I love curried snags, it's sooooo good😋😋😋😋, especially on a winter's night! I've been eating them for nearly 50 years😂😂😂😂
All the architecture in Bluey can be found in Brisbane, including interior architectural features found in Queenslander homes which Brisbane is famous for.
In the Netherlands. Wy also a Tim and Tom Coronel. Two brothers in racing and the Dakar Rally.
Bluey is definitely the most popular ... among kids.
Some countries think Neighbours is a great show (though I can't imagine why). XD
If you're a teenage girl, IMO H2O is still the best mermaid show ever made.
Otherwise, our TV doesn't get exported too much.
I loved watching Bluey and H2O with my youngest granddaughter ❤❤❤
Even Australian cop go off the rails sometimes.
in their heads they all have
My missus knows not to ask me what I want for dinner because I will always say Curried snags😍😍😍Many have tried to copy TimTams ie Pommie Penguin Biscuits but all have failed 😝
That open front door has a locked security screen that’s unbreakable. Any thief who was determined to get through it, would make so much loud noise that all the neighbours would be alerted and call the police!
Talking about phone scams…..this week i had three unanswered calls from the United Kingdom and i thought to myself „Since his mother had died, Charles gets nothing done properly and he’s alway trying to call me“
I’m not from the UK!
haha curried sausages are on our menu for this week 😋 Anne, Tassie 🦘
Pigeons don't need much time to move into a store. I've seen them come into ones fully staffed with customers and just start helping themselves to left over food completely unconcerned.
Hi Ian hive to see you doing a Aussie one again. That fly screen door is a great security door, I have one and no one can see in through it but you can see everything from the inside. Good security locks too
It takes a quality scissors to open that steak pack and they use up to much room if you want to freeze them like that. That door with the Halloween sign is a security screen door, very hard to break through them. Pretty sure those Tim and Toms are only available at Aldi.
After reading the comments I'm thinking curried snags is an iconic Aussie dish, like vegemite, that we just don't talk about? I didn't know they were such a common dish until now.
Police in the Sydney suburb of Mount Druitt were trying to stop a trail bike when they lost control and ended up on the tracks. This was not officially a pursuit. The motorcyclist did not hang about. This was just before the afternoon peak hour about a week ago. I imagine the car was dragged off the tracks in record time.
The Cop car was 15 seconds behind the bike when it passed our house about 1k from the railway tracks, CCTV video from our home was shown on the News - lights and sirens were on and they were flying
Wow! Didn't know that Aussies had pigeons self-service buffets. Even at 60 years young I'm still learning something new every day. 😂
By the way, I loved that pineapple Jack lantern. Sure it is innovative and looks awesome.
Yes, Tim Tams with Jatz biscuits were here in Australia. They are delicious!
'Candy' is borrowing the American name for what many consider to be an American tradition. (= 'Lollies' in Australia and 'sweets' in the UK.
Queenslanders often say candy....
They are so yummy curried sausage any day
I didn’t even know Bluey was a girl. 😁🇦🇺
Same, until your comment here now 🙂
Same here😂😂😂😂
That's a scandal! 😁
I'd say in our current timeline Bluey isn't defined as a boy or girl. Atleast in the United States. It's also important to state that Bluey is multicolored and *not* only blue! ☝🏻
@@derjoghurtmitderecke As long as she's not identifying as African American now!
13:23 pineapple lantern looks awesome.
6:48 thanks for sharing, passed this to a close friend of mine in AUS.
G'day Ian, curried sausages with mash potatoes is my favourite meal to cook. I make it at least once or twice a week. The curry sauce and mash potatoes are a match made in Australian heaven. 🇦🇺
I frequently leave my doors unlocked and go to the shops, but I have a giant dog and live in a safe neighbourhood. Also I just noticed that news article in the background.
Thanks for doing what you do, Ian
The Tim&toms biscuits are in the foreign food section of the supermarket. Might be middle eastern or Asian imported products.
If the scammers are who they say they are WHY do they need our details as our account would be on their screen?? It’s a security screen door, I go out and leave my back door open with the security door locked because it’s a hassle to close the glass doors!! The kids pick up a lot of American words which we adults don’t use!! Real Estate agents and Car Salesmen are a breed all of their own, both being disliked intensely!!
As a childless man in his early 30s, I have no idea what Bluey is other than its a show about dogs.
Children's cartoon.
@@rosemarymurlis-hellings8138 Thank you for the detailed explanation. I initially thought this show would be about abstract expressionism in the early 1800's. Now I know exactly what this show is all about. Especially the story with Amsterdam. Wow!
Bluey is even occasionally shown in class in my son's primary schaool.
Curried Sausage is awesome! 😋 Bluey is fun, entertaining and also gives life lessons to kids...
"Tim & Tom" is equally hilarious and disturbing.
The PINEAPPLE Jack-O-Lantern is EPIC! 😁🌟👍❤
M 🦘🏏😎
10:14 lol Tim and Tom sounds like the alphabet version of jack and Jill.
Reminds me of Bill & Ben the flowerpot men. 😂
The homeowners might be working from home so can understand why they would put a sign up saying come back at 6pm.
Mashed spud or potatoes with curry's can have steamed rice
The tim tam jatz i believe were a short term promo item.
Nice Austrian number plate in the background. It's from my hometown.
Currently in Aus for vacation and this video warms my heart. 😂
The photo of 'Australian curried sausage' reminds me of a German 'Eintopf'. Greetings from Germany.
I mean... We have Currywurst. 🥴
Crust in Neutral Bay 🤣🤣🤣
I've never seen the Tim Tam/Jatz mash-up here in Oz.
At Crust they'd have to throw all that food out.
For the best sounding car series please please look into the GMA t.50 and t.50 s
With the pigeons, the question is how often does this happen? They looked like it was a habit.
Omg! Can't believe you used the word "gander" in the right wzy in aussie slang 😅 👍
Saying candy is just a result of media and associations of America with Halloween I think, it comes naturally to me to say it since I've heard it all my life in movies/tv even though I know it annoys people 😅
