This one is from a couple months ago, but as I'm trying to get back to a more consistent schedule with UA-cam and Patreon videos, I found this while editing and remembered how much I loved it - so I hope you do as well!
I've watched and listened to TONS more BTS and members since this was filmed way back in January - but Jimin and Hobi's dance off is really something special, so I had to post!

This award was SOO important because they won Artist of the Year for the first time and it was SO emotional for them. Their reaction still chokes me up. Especially Yoongi crying. And this performance. Ugh. Wings Era was just something else.
can't imagine knowing them back then, it's overwhelming enough as an obsessed Butter Army!

This is such a crazy performance. the fact that Jimin is BLINDFOLDED and they are completely in sync. this whole award show was incredibly important. After they won Jiminie did a live if i remember right. He was so just dumbfounded that they won.. they were all so emotional. I was a very new army so I broke.
1:37 i watched professional dancers react to this dance and they were so amazed they said it's insanely difficult to dance with a blindfold on let alone like that
I was a professional dance and I am so totally hooked. I have no idea how he did that. blindfolded, dancing, had to stay in the spotlight, then be in sync with Hobie, amazing. and then for his next trick, after that dance, take 30 sec of breath and lead vocals and dance of the next song. WTAF?????? These guy have my total devotion and I'm a old, snob of music woman.

We as a fandom don't talk about MAMA 2016 enough. This was so so good. I get it, 2018 and especially 2019 are untouchable but dang 2016 really was something else too.

I feel like you’re my spirit animal before they “do the thing” in Fire. I still get goosebumps every time I watch this.
The camera work at these shows always makes me ragey. They’re forever pulling back for a crowd shot during an amazing choreo moment. I literally just had five moments pop into my head without putting thought into it.
Alex; This performance of FIRE was it for me. It was the thing that made me start looking up their names. I couldn't believe how incredible they were, all I knew was, I need more.

I saw them in Vegas and the energy in the crown and stadium during Fire is so crazy that I'm still getting goosebumps thinking about it!

I KNOW Alex, I know...!! 😂 That intro by Jimin in BST, with his eyes looking straight into one's soul, was what got me into BTS and made Jimin my ult bias and, most of the time, my bias wrecker too. Seeing him dance blindfolded was an eyegasm (is that even a word? 🤔😂). Jimin is coming out with his solo album on 24 March, the single being released on 17 March. You should check it out 🙂

Hi, I am back. Good reaction, ty. Love this performance. They slayed! Jimin always stuns me with his stage. The blindfold dance is so hard. He makes it look so easy. They started to change their style in I Need U and slowly grew from there. It really was a brilliant move. JK is our daredevil. Of course he will be the one hanging from the ceiling, geez. For the MMA,
- In 2013: 1st time invited and were the 5th performers of the total of 13.
- In 2014: I'm not sure if they attended the show but they were not nominated for any award nor performed.
- In 2015: 7th performer of the total of 10.
- In 2016: 13th performers of the total of 15.
- In 2017: 2nd last performers
- In 2018 till 2020 they have been the last performers.
For the MAMA, it has been held on multiple days and on multiple cities/countries in 2017 & 2018.
- 2014 in Hong Kong: 1st time invited and 1st performers on the show & in the middle of the show as well with another group called Block B at the same time. This is a legendary performance!
- 2015 in Hong Kong: 9th performer of 28 total performers
- 2016 in Hong Kong: 23th performer of 29 total performers
- In 2017 the show was held for 3 days in Vietnam, Japan & Hong Kong. They attended on the last day which was in Hong Kong and performed last.
- In 2018 it was held for 3 days in S. Korea, Japan & Hong Kong. They attended the 2nd & 3rd day and performed on both days last. So there are 2 separate performances.
- In 2019 it was only held for 1 day because of political issues between S. Korea & Japan and it was held in Japan despite that. They attended and performed last.
- In 2020 it was held for 1 day too and this time in S. Korea because of COVID. They attended and performed last.
The largest entertainment company, SM Entertainment, has decided to boycott the MAMA show since 2018 because of unfairness in the voting system. No artists of SM has appeared on the show ever since. The 2nd largest company, YG Entertainment, faced the same issue in 2015 and hasn't attend the show nor performed besides BLACKPINK only attending in 2018. So because of no artists from these 2 largest companies attending there were no competition in performing nor winning awards against BTS. With MAMA usually if you're nominated and you attend the show you may win the award you're nominated for. But if you're nominated and the end result was obvious that you should have won the award but you didn't attend the show, the award will be given the 2nd place winner. Even if they attended they still won't win the award(s) they were nominated for because BTS was still on top and dominating the nominations. BTS exploded in popularity domestically and internationally since 2016 so much that it overtook the most popular artists from SM Ent & YG Ent since.

Thecameras stay mainly on those that are considered the "visuals", meaning V, Jin and Jungkook. Many of their earlier concerts were like this, no matter who was actually singing or rapping. This always riled me because the other 4 were not shown as much. I believe that the intro of individual fancams really became popular as this was also true of other groups as well. It's frustrating being a bias of a member that has less camera and also MV time..🥺

Without the language barrier, I think Jin is the one I'd most like to hang out with, because goofy puns and dad-jokes and over-the-top dramatic reactions speak to my SOUL.
JK is my bias - but it's more of the puppy-vibes, he-could-be-my-son, and his ADHD energy (I'm not saying he HAS ADHD, I'm just saying that I and my son have it and his ADHD-traits (which, again, you can have without actually having ADHD) speak to me!) which I find ADORABLE.
RM and Suga are too intellectual and super-competent and deep and would intimidate me.
