It was very informative, but at one point of time the demonstrator said She’ll be using a high frequency light and for that she is increasing the intensity of light. This is incorrect. Increasing the intensity of light does not increase the light frequency (intensity has nothing to do with frequency). Increasing the intensity of light means, she is increasing the number of photons to interact with the oncoming electrons (particles), which thereby increases the chances of collisions during the experiment. Colour of light depends on its wavelength [and hence on its frequency, c=nu x lambda)]. Using different filters provide access to different wavelengths of light used and hence its frequency could be selectively used.
I have a doubt,
In NCERT book it is given that intially first we let current to be saturated by providing positive p.d then we gradually increase p.d negatively, and the voltage measured when current become zero is our stopping potential.
But why in the beginning here we have not let the current to be saturated ?
