  • 🕵️ Ramon has recently reviewed the Job Gorillapod 5K kit. We have searched for a small tripod for quite some time and tried some options. We now own this piece of equipment.
    🌾 Flexible, light and easy to use.

    Got mine yesterday from a thrift store for 3 bucks with a cheaper ballhead. Looks new. Rather happy with my score.

    Thankyou for going outside for this kind of wild life review 😂 still bought the gorilla 5 k on Amazon yesterday. Can’t wait to try it out ❤️

    I just bought the 3K kit in a physical store, but after seeing a lot of reviews on both the 3K and 5K, I’ve decided to order the 5K kit online and I’ll return the 3K. I have the Nikon D5300, so the 3K should hold, but I still want that extra stability.

    what is the difference to the cheaper "JOBY GorillaPod Focus with Ballhead X" ? Looks like it is "just" an updated version, or are there really a lot of other differences ?

    • @monetmine
      @monetmine  6 років тому +1

      I must be honest - I have no idea. But I've seen reviews about the focus where the joints would come loose. Joby has stated with the 5k they've re-engineerd the joints, so that's the reason I got this one. The price difference in my country is also negligible.

    • @monetmine
      @monetmine  5 років тому +1

      It’s a down jacket. Don’t know the brand but there are many out there. It’s actually my fav jacket on assignments too, because it compacts really well and I can just tuck it in my bag!

    Do you think the 3K would be good for my Canon 80D + Sigma 18-35mm f1.8 or should I get the 5k?

    • @monetmine
      @monetmine  6 років тому

      I’d get the 5K! Rather have a tripod that can also grow with you if you’d ever want to upgrade cameras or lenses

    • @monetmine

  • @aussie2uGA
    @aussie2uGA 6 років тому +1

    Thanks for the review but ironically you skipped by a key point - camera attachment! I was hoping to hear how convenient you found to attach and detach the camera from the ballhead? I would like to take this Jobi on wilderness hikes but would need to remount the camera dozens of times per day so the equipment stays protected in backpack.

    • @monetmine
      @monetmine  6 років тому +2

      Ah you're right, sorry! You easily attach the plate to the bottom, you don't need anything (like with manfrotto video plates) to attach it. You can use your fingers. :)
      And to unscrew the camera with plate attached from the Joby is even easier, just turn a knob on the tripod.
      Hope this helps!

    it looks so relaxing and peaceful there!!!! also, mind as well get the Joby Focus to save money since theyre exactly identical unless youre really going for the charcoal and red theme. Still think the black and gun metal looks better on the focus kit.

    • @monetmine
      @monetmine  6 років тому

      They did say they re-engineered the joints on the new versions. But dunno if that’s true :)

    • @riosfamily
      @riosfamily 6 років тому +1

      we had both lol im a huge fan of the color red but the price difference isn't worth the color theme. They're extremely identical. You can buy the original Focus so you can see, most stores gives you 14 days to return anyway.

    • @riosfamily
      @riosfamily 6 років тому +1

      also, had the focus for 6 months since we started this youtube thing and its very much like brand new still. Unfortunately for the lower end like hybrid, it would of snapped by now
