In mere weeks since starting the game, Shu has already achieved protag-hood. I attribute it to the grueling training he did while trying out the ritual loaner deck in solo mode. And also his hair. In achieving protag-hood, Shu has gained the ability to top-deck any card in his deck and skillfully avoid any unwanted card unless it ends up benefiting him in the following turns, while also hard bricking the opponent once his LP falls to dangerously low levels.

TFW activating torrential on armadillo summon would have ended that turn. Poor rosemi... (She even knew shu had at least one gem-knight fusion in hand, for the turtle flip).

I've never played Yugioh and have no idea what's happening, but I can feel the power radiating from this man
Basically Shu just always drew the perfect card in a very bad deck against a deck which is at least 5x times better. If he had drawn literally every other card in his decks other than Raigeki and Lightning Storm Rosemi would have won.
Also he happens to have the kind of look/hairstyle to blend in as a main protagonist from the Yu-Gi-Oh anime.

How many of us would be willing to give Shu some pointers for Gem-Knights? It's really a fun deck as it can do everything, destroy cards, special summon monsters and do burn dmg. The last one is especially good as you can pretty much burn for 4000 (done that). BUT Yeah it can be really slow.
I play Gem-Knights with Adamancipator Engine and Black Garden so I can FTK my opponent. Adamancipators have always been a good archetype and engine for Rock types.

I didn't know Nijisanji EN was into Yu-Gi-Oh! That's really cool! I've been playing myself, but I'm not the best... so far my best decks are Blue-Eyes and Dragonmaids, but I want to build more once I get my hands on some more archetypes.
I wish I had friends I could play with and RP like I'm an actual Yu-Gi-Oh character, it sounds like so much fun...
I feel the same way! I used to be into Yu-Gi-Oh! a lot more, but I drifted away from the only person who would play with me. I've recently gotten back into it and I really want to find people to play with.

8:26 The necessity of not having face-up cards on your side of the field makes it a lot less versatile than raigeki and the reason why it's not limited.
It's versatile in that it can be either a watered down raigeki or harpy's feather duster. But yea, both raigeki and harpy's are still better.

Shu drawing into Rageki and Lightning storm at the opportune moment, then just drawing freaking Gem Turtle's and a fusion support card afterwards. Then Rosemi just drawing her staple cards that are useless in this one particular situation so she can't close the game. Then Shu winning thanks to the useless refusion in his hand most of the duel. Like holy heck, what a weird duel 😂

@Eeihral: If Rosemi would have never used torrentital tributed and used forbidden dropleet properly the fusion monster she would not have lose that turn, the equipe card would have still make that 1800 atk fusion gain 1500 atk make it 3300 atk, then when he attack ash blossom that got 1800 defense she could have activated forbiden droplet makeing the attack of 3300 atk half 1,650 atk, keeping ash blossom one more turn. Keep in mind they where just starting to play this game. So it take time to get used to.

Raigeki is the reason why I set Masquerana, and Evil Twins Link as opening board. If I have a Backup Secretary, I will special summon it as well.
If someone uses Raigeki and the like, I summon Underworld Goddess with Masquerena, if not, I wait them summon a monster and use it as material for the Goddess as well.
