I’m still working on getting my sandwich together but that last one with the yellow point I really love that it -looks like a flame to me! It’s really great to have all those sampler variations to think about! I’m planning to try out feathers and the ribbon candy-I have a ribbon stencil to help get that started, which I probably could transfer that design another way. I can follow a line which was hard when I was a beginner but now that’s not a challenge; an occasional stencil helps get me started when I’ve tried freehanding it on paper and can’t seem to get where I’m going next in my mind! Once I’ve followed the stencil line on my machine, I do whole lot better freehanding it and FMQing it. I don’t know if it’s just a quirk in the way my mind works or what as tracing over doesn’t help me as much! 😂
I found the rulers to be a whole new skill and started with a plain straight ruler I already had! I’ld certainly suggest doing a practice piece even a small cozy or something to give rulers a try, and it will help you build that skill while you’re waiting! 😇 just a suggestion!
How do you quilt on the machine without pins or something to keep the sandwich together? I would think that would create bunching in the back. I would love to see the back of the quilt after these sections are completed as well. Just to see the pattern coming together on the flip side.
What stitch length/width does everyone use when they do free-motion on their home sewing machine? I am just trying to learn and not sure....I have a long learning road ahead. 🤣
Wow! What beautiful and creative options. This is truly a lot of fun! Thank you Angela!
I am having so much fun with this mandala. Thanks, Angela, for teaching me.
Hi Teressa, how’s your day going with you?

I am at week 2 finally! Mine looks nothing like that. I am gonna get those paisley leaves -- Soon!
Every quilt is a learning quilt for me. This one will be practicing the challenge of ribbons and those L shape border design.
Wishbone around that curve was hard for me! Was fine in the white area, but the pink part was tough!
So weird this is on the MSQC quilt tutorial app… always great to see you though Angela
Ordered the rulers but waiting. It is ok but I want to have the rulers before I try this. All in time and watching is very encouraging.

Angela, any update on Smiley ruler? Itchin to start.
I struggle with swirl fillers. Mine are are too big and not round enough. Any tips. Or do I just need more practice. I have a Bernina q20. ❤️15:40
