What a great day! The hike down looked nice, but like you said, it's going back up that's the issue! The waterfall was nice - even though there wasn't a lot of water. I'm not much of a swimmer - I enjoy it, but the water is usually too cold for my liking!
The way back up was a workout but felt good, I miss doing that and need to do it more often:) the water is way more in the spring but it was nice and it was cool water LOL swimming in that water is not like Florida, I had goose bumps with just my feet in it LOL.
I seen some pics of the fall in the spring and its at least 5 times wider. Rope bridge made the hike interesting and the climb back up from the canyon was worth every drop of sweat :)
You have plenty of wonderful places there. The waterfall is wonderful even with little water. I went all day to a "waterfall" that had no water at all :).I really like how you present your travels and I'm glad I had the opportunity to accompany you. What a beautiful trail, 2 miles is not bad especially seeing all this beauty along the way. Very cool indeed, I love the falls wow.Yep birds make fun of me too lol . Keep having fun !
I am surprised there wasn't much water coming over the falls. They must not be getting as much rain down there as we have had this spring and summer. Pretty hike, but I prefer the ones that you go uphill first then downhill on the way back. It gives me something to look forward to. Hahahahah
Uphill before or after, it was a hike😅 the picture they had at the parking board must have shown a picture taken in the spring but it was a beautiful scene and after a 1/2 hour we were there it got some crowd as you see in the video. Very nice and calm atmosphere. For people from Florida this is heaven especially the cool water.😊

Hike back up is a bit treacherous for sure, but like you said ok if you take your time, cool looking waterfall and pet Butterfly lol...

Great spot there John. Some crazy rocks you were going over. Love the rope bridge. In the spring that fall would be spectacular.

Have some smaller children,, really want to make the base of the falls, how far from parking at the recreational area, is it to the actual base?
It's almost a mile hike to the fall but well worth it.
