I was so sad at this scene when James rejected and banished Miss Evers. Because I knew exactly how to be deeply obsessed and hopelessly devoted to someone, but they don't love you back.
And youd think that the moment of being rejected is the worst you could possibly hurt, but its only the beginning of the scale once they abandon you and leave you with it all, throughout the months, the hurt, rejection, and pain of it all just intensifies slowly until you break completely.
Mare Winningham lifts any production she is in to a higher level. What a wonderfully gifted actor. I’ve loved and appreciated her for years. I just wish Hollywood appreciated her half as much as I do.
Well in the timeline when they were Alive it was considered normal to marry someone older than you and remember James and miss Evers never adapted to the new century well
This fucked me up and still does every time I watch it. Heartbreaking. I never expected James to do that 😩 Miss Evers was a good person and the countess doesn’t really love James anyways. Ugh 💔💔💔

Right . You could give the moon & stars for someone jus for them to get that & turn their back .

to me one of the saddest moments was the flashback of miss ever's son getting abducted in the 1920s
This has always been one of my favorite scenes of Hotel. Masterful acting by all three of them, and Ms. Evers quoting Hamlet was just *chef's kiss*
I felt for her but she betrayed him. She knew he didn’t see her like that so she betrayed him and made him think it was the Countess
The a ctress who play the Maid was a great actress, she should be a regular cast in AHS.
At least she's free of him now 🙂
Wasn't she too old for him anyway? James was only in his thirties when he died.
I mean they are both ghosts so who cares
