    Thank you so much Mary. I just came across your channel and enjoyed it so much. I just ordered my knit pro after seeing yours. Just beginning my way into crochet after years - the last project was in middle school. :)

    Hello! What a delight it has been to find your channel and watch your videos! How do you think the yarn winder would go with bigger skeins like Scheepjes Whirls or a Lola? I know the thread is thing but there’s a lot of it?

      Yes. Thanks for your question. I do have a larger yarn winder which winds up larger skeins. A no name brand. To be honest not completely happy with that... may purchase a new one.

    Glad for your tip to wind when you are going to use it. Many say to makes you cakes ahead. I trust your judgement.

    What would be your recommendation for converting a hank to a cake using this? Hank gets a lot more tangled than a skein..and it's tougher than winding a skein?

    Do you have to start the ball from the centre, some times I get ridiculous amounts of yarn vomit. Could you just wind by starting with the top thread

      You can start the yarn any way you like. However starting from the centre helps with tension as you work.

    Have you tried it on smaller quantities? I mostly make amigurumi toys and have tons of leftover yarn that just sits in the drawer and tangles because I don’t have the time and heart to hand wind it. Do you think this would work?

      Should do... how small in grams roughly?

      @@WowCrochet thank you so much for replying :) I’d say anything from 10 to 30g. Sorry, I don’t have a precise scale so it’s just a guess

      @WowCrochet  4 роки тому +1

      @@annachaber5289 well. I use up to 30 grams.

      @@annachaber5289 anything less and it kind of collapses
