All the value, the worth of The Golden Scythe, all the luxury and ingenuity by which it's wealth brought forth, from the diamonds and adamantine that were poured into the Taxmen, down to the last copper piece for the bolts of cloth used to fabricate the Hodmedods, now it is being turned in it's entirety to saving the one thing that held greatest value in Avalir; the lives of it's people. And the Last Dragon of Avalir fought as fiercely to protect that which he valued as the First Dragon did.
The Bolo conversation in episode 1 established that hodmedods have a limited pre-programmed bank of statements to draw upon. This implies that at some point someone programmed them to be able to say "Awright fellas, let 'em 'ave it!" and smack a sucker with a sandwich board.
Lol, that's such a funny image. But thinking back on it, the Scythe (at least the majority of its core) were former pirates. It almost makes too much sense they programmed Hodmedods to be able to, at the very least, stop a tavern brawl. Lol
Another awesome thing to think about is that in the first scene of EXU: Calamity, Zerxus Ilerez is having his vision of Avalir being attacked and one of the things he hears is "Avalir Rise!"
And yet to me by the end of the episode it felt kind of futile. Sure they got the people on to the skyships but then they had get away from ground zero of fantasy Yellowstone blowing its top in essentially a sail boat
Thank you for putting a spoiler into your title, unavoidable for anyone not uptodate and getting your "insert severe swearing" clip recommended. good job.
@Lucas M. Plus I always post the first clip of each new episode around 4-5 hours after the VOD is posted so you can have time to watch the whole episode first. I've seen channels go bananas and post clips 5 min after the stream is over 😂
@@bestofcriticalrole I don't even watch this but the dudes comment stands. Title that spoils is bs not to mention there's such a thing as timezones "😂"
Y'all are the most annoying people on the internet. If you don't want it spoiled, don't watch the goddamn clip. It's that easy. Watch the whole episode and then come back.

God damn so much poetry was compacted into this 4 episode miniseries. It is god damn beautiful
Seriously, you're not allowed to make me cry like this at work
I love that the official timestamp for this scene is "Now for wrath, now for ruin and the red dawn"...
Respect to Flando
All hail Flando
All the better even, after watching Brennan talking about his love for that scene in the GM roundtable the other night lol
Flando is not official, they're just really cool and speedy. They also do Dimension 20, and I believe Drawfee's Drawtectives as well
The island broke before Avalir did.
Avalir stands!

The Hodmedods joining in felt so wizard of Oz, I loved this moment
It felt like that moment on kids adventures movies were the little guy joins to kick the bad guys asses and I loved it

I just realized that today and came back to watch this scene because of it
For me it was one of the most wonderful moment. It gave me too much hope that Avalir will survive.
Same
I think this is the moment the stopped being the victims of the calamity and started being the heroes who would save the citizens
The true spirit of Avalir found itself in its final moments
The Dream may have been lost. But the Dreamers lived on.
@@aidenharper6013 hits too hard bruh
Voice-over: "Avalir didn't survive."
"Sure, Sure that as well!" had me rolling
This will be the end of Avalir.
Then it will be the most noble ending in history.
Then let us make the end memorable!!!

When the fall is all that's left, it matters a great deal.

Should have watched both sides of the road before crossing 😎

One of my favourite moments of the campaign! Lou is a hype man to rival Travis lol
That was such a glorious moment!^^
Mine too! I loved that feel of adventure movie it had 😆
Brennan is as much an expert in comedic relief as he is in tragedy :)
That was such an Avengers Endgame moment and I love it
Man..I can't get over this campaign..it's soooo amazing
The Dragon Flies For Avalir!
Man your editing is so good and I love it
Thank you! This is one of my fav moments of the episode so I had to put so much into it xd
Good lord, I need an animatic of this.
Sure, sure!! that as well!!!!
Brennan is a phenomenal DM and storyteller. I love how hyped they are by everything he says.
It was like we were actually witnessing history first hand with how well these people played this story out
The fact that Avalir almost was able to fight off an invasion from the betrayer gods says something, doesn't it.
The last dragon of avalir defending his horde
To see this moment animated.
What song is playing in this clip? It’s fantastic.
I believe it's Phoenix Rising - Edgar Hopp, but I might be wrong
@@DugaGomes You are... correct!
Thank you both so much for the response!
can we get this animated pls?
Like and love if you live exu: calamity!

Mostly skyships which probably go pretty fast
Hodmodod stats when, I have some players who want to play one
The best I could think about would be reflavoured warforged
The Autognomes from Spelljammer would probably work well.

The episode has been up on their channel for over a week now, it isn’t like this is being released immediately after the livestream ended.
