Another great clip, Sarah. The hotel is in my old quarters between Nakasu and Hakata. It looks absolutely great. Big rooms though for many people. Great location. When I first came to Fukuoka some 20 +years ago I managed to book a small, almost onsen like hotel in Shirogane near Yakuin. Totally traditional, very cheap, a bathtub in the room and a bigger public bath downstairs, futons made every evening and a rice snack or sandwich plus an alco drink on the table when I got home in the evening. I think it may be closed now, I do not find it on Google, but there are many others to find. Never mind if it is not in Tenjin or central, there are trains and buses handy. The experience of a traditional Japanese hotel adds so much for a visitor.
I just booked this hotel because of this video 😄 We’re a family of 9 so I booked the family room with kitchen and the standars family room. Excited to stay here in October.
Superb hotel. Looks very ‘Japanese’. When I eventually get to have my dream trip to Japan that is the sort of place I must stay in. Great video. Thanks for sharing.
I loooove the design of that hotel!! It's so nice!! I bet it was a soothing fragrance - I love being surrounded by that fresh woody smell haha. Genuinely one of the most cozy looking hotel rooms I've seen. The high quality features and applianecs were a nice touch.
I would love to stay at that hotel, I love the wood touch of the entire room. And that UA-cam channel you recommended seems very interesting, I am surely going to look it up! 😄
I am very interested in that sort of accomodation. Especially as plan to travel to Fukuoka in 2024 to meet people and enjoy the city, then on my way to Southern Kyushu. Question please - Watching you work your way through the little hotel's brochure, had me concerned. If I can't read or speak Japanese, will it be difficult registering, finding the place, etc. This why in the past, I have opted to stay at hotels close to JR Hakata. Do you think non Japanese can book and find Tsurezure without too many problems? Thank you. UPDATE - Actually I did an experiment and followed your link. To my great relief it is in English and very easy to follow. I am 100% confident I can do it. Question please - Are there place to eat within walking distance of the accomodation? Thank you.
Yes there are a few restaurants within walking distance! Also, it’s only a 15 minute walk to an area called Nakasu where there are a lot of restaurants
Yes, it is not complicated to book. If you do it in English it may take a day or two to get an answer. But definitively possible. And also, yes, lots of good restos in the area, walking distance. A very good Korean just next door and a good motsu place towards Reisen Park. Then Nakasu, Tenjin and Hakata, Canal City etc very close. An excellent location.
Ah hotel review ! This being a Sarah vlog it all food based 🤔 The hotel is interesting to say the least It seems more like a air b&B The actual rooms are incredible
local bus is very easy and quick and you can not really get lost. I do not remember the number now and it might have changed. Just ask at the information at Hakata St.
very nice hotel. tell us if you paid accomodation tax upon check in. We are going to visit fukuoka in the last quarter of this year. thanks and will continue to watch your vlogs.
One thing I've been wondering since i started watching your vids, what's up with your name? Sarah sounds very Englishy, did you pick that up when you studied in the UK? Love all your stuff by the way, your personality is VERY engaging. Arigato!
Helloooo guys! I hope you’re having a good weekend ☺️
What did you think about the hotel?? Do let me know! 🙌
The hotel is sooo nice. I love it. I guess though, all areas in Japan are safe, regardless of where you go.

Good idea! Yes, try to get a traditional hotel at first. It makes the experience so much more rich.
Very unique hotel. something to keep in mind on a Fukuoka visit. 😁

Indeed!! The whole place had that fresh woody smell 😆🙌
I just can't get enough of how much efficiency the Japanese can muster without compromising the beauty and sense of comfort. Amazing.

Thank you! 😊
Hakata gocho st
Such a nice hotel. Reminds me of Muji
Omg that’s so true!!
Good old Fukuoka 😌
P.S, that has to be the most timber-rific hotel room I ever saw 🪵😅🌲
Timber-rific 🤣🤣
@@TokyoFoodieSarah I was thinking about using “lumber-rific”, but I decided on the better option instead 😁😅
Ah hotel review !
This being a Sarah vlog it all food based 🤔

It’s about 25 mins walk from Hakata station to this place. You can also take the bus or train. Google map will tell you the route!
local bus is very easy and quick and you can not really get lost. I do not remember the number now and it might have changed. Just ask at the information at Hakata St.

I want my apartment to be as aesthetic as this hotel. But I don't have the money for renovations. (or permission)
