Thanks for uploading, wild brawl throughout the whole match. Loved the caution and desperation displayed by Kawada throughout the match. Swift violent clothesline to finish it off. Also love how tightly Vader pins people, looks like he's trying to compress them like an accordion.
@@larryfloyd4993 Shawn Michaels vs. Toshiaki Kawada would have been interesting to say the least. But Kawada wasn't the one to put up with backstage politics. He didn't like how Texas and Stampede were ran in the mid 1980s, so he decided against American wrestling despite him speaking English decently enough for promos. Taiyo Kea mentioned that Kawada spoke English well enough. Kinda makes me sad because if Kawada wrestled more in America, and got through all the politics, he could've been THE most serious guy in the early 90s part of the Hulkamania era. Add that with the fact Kawada could do comedy & sports-entertainment well, he would've been a great fit for that era. Kawada vs. Roddy Piper's in a "Piper's Pit" segment would've been a lot of fun, followed by stiff solid matches with "Macho Man" Randy Savage. Would've been in the WWE HoF if Kawada's career played-out like that. Shawn Michaels was definitely entertaining, but I feel Bret Hart's body of work aged better in general.
@@popozz I live in the USA, and Nini (my Japanese girlfriend) her family is from rural Hokkaido. Too bad Kawada doesn't have a website for himself or his restaurant. I've been wanting to buy a personalized autograph from him both for myself and Nini. I know Don Muraco and Superstar Billy Graham, you could buy personalized autographs on their old sites. My Uncle did that with Don Muraco and it meant a lot to him.
@@albalog2449 There is a link to his X (Twitter) on his Wikipedia page. (There doesn't seem to be any other official WEB site.) Is this not good enough for you?
Kawada was a TOUGH SHIT...!!! And Japanese Puroresu is about as stiff as pro wrestling gets. That said, you gotta know that whatever Kawada is dishing out on Leon he's gonna do the same. Except the difference is 400lbs of grizzly bear coming at you. Yeah Vader was stiff but he had too be considering where he was wrestling.
AJPW is known for their hard hitting matches, it isn't a shoot per se, this is just how they work their matches. Look up Misawa vs Kawada, at one point Misawa breaks his forearm on Kawada's head
Once more I have comeback to this match, and oh man, still one of my favorite matches, the pace and action is what you would expect of Kawada and Vader but with a twist mostly by Kawada attitude and selling of Vader, and also something that I really liked was that Vader won, since I remember being confident that Kawada would take the win!

Q ha
this match probably took place not long after he left WWE.....
That monster lost multiple times from Shawn Michaels.. What a shame! We miss you Vader😤🖖
SHAWN MICHEAL , AS A WRESTLER TOUGH GUY, .. WAS A WUSS

Vader practically decapitated Kawada at the finish.
Vader was a monster in the ring . would have loved to see him against Brock L. in a strength match .
Rest in Peace Vader.
He was The Best
Toshiaki Kawada is a sexy handsome gentleman.
I love him.
Good Luck to him.
Now he runs a small ramen shop in Tokyo called "Mengerous-K".
If you come to Tokyo sometime, you should try his ramen!

First of R.I.P Vader
Are these guys known for shooting in matches?

Kawada was always known for working extremely stiff.
Not shooting just it's very hard hitting where both guys are happy to dish out but also take it back.
Watch Vader in UWFi

Heck of a contest.
I don't think I ever saw Vader kicked and punched so many times as in this match. Vader has no answer for those kicks....
Let’s be honest this match would be way more popular if dangerous K got that dub
Vader got his fat ass kicked…he merely survived by Kawada gassing out and a timely powerful LariatoooooooooOooOoOoo
Vadar won four the kings
thats only wrestler!! I guess.
Great match 👌
Rip Vader😢
👍
Vader Time HIT HARD !

Should rename: Vader Vs Kawada's right kick featuring slow ass referee. Was painful to watch Vader have to drag this out and not just maul this guy.
