Im a Harley Ironhead guy but man its hard to find anything more mechanically beautiful than a Triumph engine. The 67 bonneville was my favorite by far.

A couple of my Aunts and Uncles rode together to Woodstock ontheir Motorcycles the men driving with their wives riding behind them one had a Bonneville 650 the other couple had a Honda 750four the crazier one onthe Triumph rode a full wheelie down the Main Street and back with his wife hooting and hollering ! The more reserved couple on the Honda kept telling his wife to hold on they were next but he was only busting her chops it’s now 2021 and I’m 57 years old and had heard that story since I was about 8 years old the wild Uncle is still riding mostly Sport bikes now and according to his brother the last time he pulled a wheelie he wound up breaking a taillight and his ass that cost him a decent sum of money to repair the bike which is still kind of cool for a guy in his mid 70s IMO

Live while we can and die when we must. Beautiful story

Wait. If this is a ''67 Bonnie why are the carbs here a concentric type and not of the previous monobloc series? My understanding is that the '68 Triumph 650 was the first year for the concentric carburetor.

Apparently this Limey hasn't a clue as to the panic what we Bonneville owners in Wisconsin USA go through , when we hear something amiss on our rides

I prefer the single carburetor version. Much easier to live with all the way round. I have had my Triumph Tr-6 with a hard tail and magneto for 40 years.

My limited understanding is that at 650cc these bikes were as big as they could be, for a parallel twin, without suffering from major vibration issues.
More cc is not always better.

Having owned a few T120s and a couple of T140 D Bonnie's I say the 750 is much smoother and sweeter engine especially above 5,000rpm. Doug Hele knew his stuff alright.

I have been looking for a 1967 Bonneville Triumph T120. My dad owned one when I was a kid. A lot of great memories with that bike but he sold it when I was 12 to pay for us to get AC. I’ve always wanted one so he can ride it again before he dies. Do you know of a reliable place to buy?

@@parkerhaslam7380 I pretty much built mine out of parts.
I had my bonny repaired when I had money. Maybe you and pops can build one. Ebay has them.
