David Warner I can agree ur point on family audience...it is 50-50 call for me whether to support kamalhassan or audience...it needs kamal's perceptive life includes everything I've . romance so I am showing it in my cinema...in public point of view how can we bring our kids to his movies on weekend...at times he should have adapted that romantic part alone as what can be agreed in public...if u keep this alone aside, as u said he is immensely talented who is prophet I say...I seriously don't understand how he talked about everything in advance...again that too back fired him becoz audience does not understand advanced scripts....he silently helped other artists in film circle itself...best example is director Mahendran especially that movie aarulirundhu aruvadhuvarai is the landmark films of him....rajini would have really struggled if that movie had not come...kamalhassan was the biggest commercial hero in 1980's...he changed his line to method acting, versatile and different types of acting...learnt many crafts as he can...as u said he lost most of his fans whom he had then
