All of the area D bands are incredibly good! I go to Alamo Heights, and I'm just happy to be at area, but every band at area competition had just the largest sounds I've heard from high school.
Why didn't the guard spin anything??? The dance was pretty... but guard isn't guard unless there Is equipment and all they diddid was dance and hold props....
Tyler Gregory VRHS in 2012-2015 had the Starline Dance Company as the visual auxiliary of the VRHS Marching band, and since the Dance company only has dance elements, they didn't spin any flag nor weapon. This year, the VRHS band started the color guard (in which I am currently in), and now into the future, you will soon see that we don't only spin flags, but weapon as well. :)
