First time I ever saw him he was driving the motorcraft thunderbird in pro stock. He actually took the time to talk to and give a very young me an autograph. Hope you have a wonderful retirement. We will all miss you
Come on Rickie 1 more year for Junie and all your fans,, especially this fan from Surry county . i remember your days at East Bend and Farmington drag strips ! You are the best Pro Mod ever had !
Congrats Trickie Rickie on the win! Thank you for all you did for pro mod racing! I enjoyed the years I seen you race at Mooresville Dragway growing up and then seeing you at Zmax Dragway! You will be missed for sure if you retire! I totally understand though!
Wow, so glad to see him get a win in his final season!! I am barely did not hear his retirement announcement that called me a bit off guard but really really glad to see him get a win, maybe he'll get some more but really cool to see him get this, really really cool!
Because you have to buy the higher tier cable channel and NHRA gets a percentage of the proceeds ! Also because Pro Mod is the most popular class in NHRA and they try to hide that fact to draw more money ! I think it airs on top tier cable Tuesday night not positive about the night I haven't had cable in 3 years !
I always pulled for Ricky every time he gets behind the wheel I have since I was 7 years old and now I'm 58 ! Hell yeah bring that Wally home to North Carolina Ricky so proud of you man !
One of the best ever. I saw him race many times in person. Happy retirement! Although he may retire from driving I hope he stays involved in drag racing to some capacity with his knowledge.
Is that a FORD engine in his car...OR A FREAKING CHRYSLER HEMI I read about??????????????????????????????????????? He beat all Chevy's with this car......
Enjoy retirement.i think this isn't how you wanted this to come to an end but believe me I truly understand the "politics " involved with the class in le last four days.I swa him race in the modified eliminator class many many years ago a d his first years in pro stock.A class act all the way...
Good luck to you Ricky. You and I are the same age. Summer Saturday nights, I still strap my stock car to my butt and go racing against the youngsters. I figure I will quit driving when I quit winning.
We'll all miss you Ricky. Hate to see the best leave. Thanks to Ricky for making the sport what it is today.
He’s been retiring for years. We will see come spring, remember with Matt racing he’ll always feel the pull of the track

Why isn’t this on TV alongside the other pro classes?
