I love this character just because of his voice actor. Plus he genuinely seemed to care for our safety with that "I warned you" having full fear when you turn the lights off.
I honestly wish sun would've been an ally aninatronic like Freddy. It would also be very interesting having the trade-off of him being useful and non reliant on battery but becoming a threat as soon as the lights go out. He's just so bubbly and energetic, and unwilling to break Gregory's neck.

Man sun drop is one of the only situations where I truly believe if Gregory just talked it out with him and didn’t turn off the lights, he could’ve helped. If he presented it like a game, moon might’ve not seen that he was breaking the rules. Sun drop himself was breaking the rules for not immediately reporting Gregory, but wanting to play with him knowing the security bots were on the lookout for him. Besides, sun drop doesn’t ask for much, he keeps you safe by keeping an eye on you, and proposes to play games or make crafts with glitter glue as long as you keep the lights on.
I got this theory, that the reason Sundrop wasn't ratting Gregory out to the security, was because Vanny couldn't take control of him. All the other animatronics are under her control -except four : Freddy Fazebear, Sun, the sign-bots and the map/party robot. Freddy could not be taken control, because - I think - he contains the soul of an old security guard (there are theories, but I get confused with names). The map bot/party bot are too simple -same goes for the little yellow sign robots. And sun? Well, he has a form of DID. Moon's chaotic personality messes already with his...er...mainframe? So he's basically resistent to hypnosis by reason of insanity (robot-insanity). The only reason he calls security is 1.) when Gregory breaks the rules and gets banned (take him away, boys!") and 2.) when Gregory tries to re-enter the daycare, after being banned. He's basically calling for a bouncer at this point.
I mean technically it's not Gregory's fault, you need the pass and getting the security pass turns off the lights in the daycare. So unfortunately we'd have to betray the sun anyways T-T

Plus, he doesn't seem to be the "fawn" type, aka the type that tries to argue rather than act first, therefore it's understandable for his character that he didn't try communicating with Sundrop. But in the end -we don't know if it's the only way. If G. had tried to ask Sundrop for help, he might have known an optional way. He's a daycare worker after all, so he knows the ins & outs. Which...honestly, would have been so cool if there was "another" ending, where you got his help. Like either you talk to him, or force your way through. If you talk to him, you need to take a detour side-quest to get the item without turning off the lights, but as a result don't get the Moon-enemy. Oh well
Sun is literally my favorite character! But aside from him being sad there, considering his very playful personality, you could assume that he realizes Gregory is gone and thinks they are playing hide and seek so he covers his eyes to not cheat! However, if he is sad because Gregory left him, he definitely deserves a hug!!!
From the moment I heard his voice, I immediately loved him. His character, the way he clearly shows his feelings of panic and happiness in his voice, just amazing. I really like him :(

No. Moon is not angry, in actual fact, he's annoyed you aren't asleep. Which is why sun keeps the lights on. It's only until nap time that the lights go off and moon catches them and gives them a moondrop. Honestly though... He's iconic because he is nothing like anything we've seen in Fnaf before, he is eccentric, and people GO NUTS for "opposites" characters like Sun and Moon (and their respective advertisings). Also, appropriation of dissociative identity disorder for characterization purposes sells very well.

i got a glitch one time, where when he was cleaning up i stood behind him, then after that as long as I didn't run, he wouldn't catch me, just follow me around. not knowing any better, i ran.
that's not a glitch. its actually his trait in the game, if you go too far from him, he'll try to catche you and put you back beside the barrels, he wont catch you if you just stood with him he'll just follow you around and guarding you, and if you make a distraction you'll have time to run to the security badge
Here's another theory: What if he comes after Gregory as Moon out of spite for rejecting them. He does seem much more unstable than the other animatronics who don't hurt each other. He attacks Freddy and decapitates him and proceeds to taunt poor Gregory
Someone pointed out to me that rather than cry, Sundrop is probably counting for a game of hide and seek! Most times toddlers (who he takes care of) suddenly run off is for hide and seek, so he's probably giving you time to hide.
I've said something similar to this on a video of Sundrop not to long ago. In what we're shown here is him counting down for hide and seek, I believe. But, I'd also like to interpret that Sun got sad when Gregory left, leaving him alone again. Sun is a character who is usually surrounded by loving children who play with him all day, but at night, he's all alone in his daycare, awaiting more people to play with him. I could just imagine how sad Sun gets when all the children have to leave. He probably sits in his daycare and starts to cry because you can VISIBLY SEE he has capible emotions. Sun is so adorable, I don't know why Gregory wouldn't want to play with him. I'd be there all day and night with him.
It was such a shame what we did to Sun. It’s obvious that he hates and fears Moondrop which is why his only rule is to keep the lights on. We can even see the pain he goes through when he switches personalities.
What I find interesting is (at least at the point in the game I’m at) there’s no evidence that Moon hates Sun. He wants to find you,not because you’re trying to turn the lights on but because you’re breaking the rules and we never see Moon’s transition back to Sun to see if he tries stopping it. Based of Moon’s behaviour,I’d assume he fulfils two purposes,he punishes children (Sun is clearly way too nice to ever punish anyone,even when it might be warranted,like of one kid hit another kid for no reason) and he is some kind of defence for Sun. This is why he doesn’t hate sun and why I think he punishes kids the way he does,he scares them so they treat Sun with the kindness he deserves.

In a situation where there are a lot of kids,Moon could potentially cause a lot of damage so if a kid did turn off the lights,it’s safer to kick the kid out of the daycare than endanger other kids. Also,by punish I meant more like staying up to late or being rude,things a kid should be told off for but not big enough for someone like Sun (who is probably very kind and understanding) to actually punish them for.
the thing i love about SB is that it added so much complexity to the existing characters and to the new characters, theyre just as complex. like tbh throughout the whole game sunny just genuinely wants companionship because thats what he was programmed to do. LOREEE like dont hate him gregory, turn on them lights!
I really like Sundrop since he cleaned up the player’s mess and unlike the other robots or animatronics he was actually happy to see Gregory and just wanted to hang out with him, he seemed like such a friendly and nice guy (It is still kind of creepy how he just keeps picking up the player and follows them but he is still someone I could hang out all night)
I think it's just because there is one kid. I feel like if there were more, he would alternate between kids to kinda herd them so they don't wander too far. But since there's just Gregory, his coding basically keeps looping on this one kid. But that's just my theory explanation
Yeah Sundrop’s my favorite, next to Freddy. It’s kind of like he wants to be the center of attention, since there’s one kid. He likes new friends, and wants to be entertaining. I really like how the sun spikes around his face are retractable

I like to think he instinctively goes to pick up his pile after it’s knocked over so that Gregory (and other kids if they were there) don’t trip over them and hurt themselves
In fact NO, both sun and moon have a disorder called Obsessive compulsive which makes both of them crazy about the order as an example if I go throw a pile of boxes and the moon comes even if you are next to him he simply picks up the pile and then He will come for you although he knows that you will easily escape

Here’s something I personally took as a headcanon! It’s a bit long, so sit tight! TLDR at bottom. I recently read a comment in a FNAF:SB video that entertains the idea that they probably get heavily punished if they mess up, and since they seem to have sentience it heavily effects them emotionally. The person points out that the punishment is shown when Venessa threatens Freddy with death when he gets captured and that Bonnie got replaced. Bonnie was probably made as an example. The person proposed that this is why Sun and Moon are so obsessed with cleaning up and following rules and why the other animatronics are obsessed with finding Gregory. The person also proposed that this is the reason of some of Chica’s voice lines. TLDR: I read a comment in a FNAF:SB video that states that they’re living in fear because they’re being threatened with harm if things don’t go perfectly, and because their AI allows them sentience this heavily impacts them emotionally and mentally and this is why Sun acts like this. Have fun feeling bad for them!
I wonder how Montgomery Gator destroyed Glamrock Bonnie, while also following Vanny’s strict rules. I think it has set into me that they aren’t either possessed kid robots or unemotional robots, which means if they are sentient and being controller by Vanny or Afton, there are no reprogramming and loopholes to the animatronic function. I also think Glamrock Bonnie messed up with catching a child or maybe having the same emotions about kidnapping children with Freddy. What doesn’t make sense is how Freddy is not “possessed”, and if Montgomery was not possessed during destroying Bonnie, than why would he destroy Bonnie. It wouldn’t make sense if he did it while he WAS possessed because Afton wouldn’t kill his own robots unless like you were saying it was to set the animatronics straight from doing anything bad.

According to a commenter who claims to have knowledge about computers, “safe mode” is when the computer is returned to its very basic coding which is what Freddy was in all throughout the game. However, I see that you mentioned this already. About “Afton not killing his own robots,” I have to disagree with you there as we watched Afton kill the original 4 in FNAF 3 cutscenes/mini games. Also, the secret ending suggests that this generation have been built much after Afton was spring-locked and burnt in FNAF Pizza Sim, so this generation would not be his robots. Either way, I didn’t mean to write this as a genuine theory. I just found it entertaining, and I’m a sucker for angst so I took it as a personal headcanon to share with y’all! :)

With how anxiously he reacts after the barrels have been knocked down, it seems he is not crying, just composing and reminding himself that children tend to make messes. Then he proceeds to give himself a pep talk because he loves children and his job. This explains why he goes back to normal afterwards.

I’ve been playing this game and imo this was the best section of it. Everything after it has been tedious and honestly frustrating at points, but it could be personal because I’ve encountered so many bugs and got lost on multiple occasions lol
I literally love that they actually animated him cleaning the mess that’s so cute my heart 😭 I love Sundrop so much. I’d rather spend all night in the daycare using glitterglue and running around playing with him. I wish there was an ending where you could’ve not broken the rule of turning the lights off and could’ve just stayed with Sundrop until morning. Also I like the fact he’s a bit overbearing and energetic to match the energy of young children who would normally be in the daycare. God he reminds me of when I was younger and had so much energy I tired out every adult near me

To be fair; yeah, he's a kid. He's all alone, trapped and haunted by big dangerous animatronics. Plus, he doesn't seem to be the "fawn" type, aka the type that tries to argue rather than act first, therefore it's understandable for his character that he didn't try communicating with Sundrop.
But in the end -we don't know if it's the only way. If G. had tried to ask Sundrop for help, he might have known an optional way. He's a daycare worker after all, so he knows the ins & outs.
Which...honestly, would have been so cool if there was "another" ending, where you got his help. Like either you talk to him, or force your way through. If you talk to him, you need to take a detour side-quest to get the item without turning off the lights, but as a result don't get the Moon-enemy. Oh well

Sun is literally my favorite character! But aside from him being sad there, considering his very playful personality, you could assume that he realizes Gregory is gone and thinks they are playing hide and seek so he covers his eyes to not cheat! I've said something similar to this on a video of Sundrop not to long ago. In what we're shown here is him counting down for hide and seek, I believe. But, I'd also like to interpret that Sun got sad when Gregory left, leaving him alone again. Sun is a character who is usually surrounded by loving children who play with him all day, but at night, he's all alone in his daycare, awaiting more people to play with him. I could just imagine how sad Sun gets when all the children have to leave. He probably sits in his daycare and starts to cry because you can VISIBLY SEE he has capible emotions. Sun is so adorable, I don't know why Gregory wouldn't want to play with him. I'd be there all day and night with him.
It was such a shame what we did to Sun. It’s obvious that he hates and fears Moondrop which is why his only rule is to keep the lights on. We can even see the pain he goes through when he switches personalities.
What I find interesting is (at least at the point in the game I’m at) there’s no evidence that Moon hates Sun. He wants to find you,not because you’re trying to turn the lights on but because you’re breaking the rules and we never see Moon’s transition back to Sun to see if he tries stopping it. Based of Moon’s behaviour,I’d assume he fulfils two purposes,he punishes children (Sun is clearly way too nice to ever punish anyone,even when it might be warranted,like of one kid hit another kid for no reason) and he is some kind of defence for Sun. This is why he doesn’t hate sun and why I think he punishes kids the way he does,he scares them so they treat Sun with the kindness he deserves.
I love Sunny so much!! Probably the only animatronic other than Freddy who wouldn't harm Gregory.

In a situation where there are a lot of kids,Moon could potentially cause a lot of damage so if a kid did turn off the lights,it’s safer to kick the kid out of the daycare than endanger other kids. Also,by punish I meant more like staying up to late or being rude,things a kid should be told off for but not big enough for someone like Sun (who is probably very kind and understanding) to actually punish them for.

I really like Sundrop since he cleaned up the player’s mess and unlike the other robots or animatronics he was actually happy to see Gregory and just wanted to hang out with him, he seemed like such a friendly and nice guy (It is still kind of creepy how he just keeps picking up the player and follows them but he is still someone I could hang out all night)
I think it's just because there is one kid. I feel like if there were more, he would alternate between kids to kinda herd them so they don't wander too far. But since there's just Gregory, his coding basically keeps looping on this one kid. But that's just my theory explanation

Here’s something I personally took as a headcanon! It’s a bit long, so sit tight! TLDR at bottom.
I recently read a comment in a FNAF:SB video that entertains the idea that they probably get heavily punished if they mess up, and since they seem to have sentience it heavily effects them emotionally. The person points out that the punishment is shown when Venessa threatens Freddy with death when he gets captured and that Bonnie got replaced. Bonnie was probably made as an example. The person proposed that this is why Sun and Moon are so obsessed with cleaning up and following rules and why the other animatronics are obsessed with finding Gregory. The person also proposed that this is the reason of some of Chica’s voice lines.
TLDR: I read a comment in a FNAF:SB video that states that they’re living in fear because they’re being threatened with harm if things don’t go perfectly, and because their AI allows them sentience this heavily impacts them emotionally and mentally and this is why Sun acts like this.

I wonder how Montgomery Gator destroyed Glamrock Bonnie, while also following Vanny’s strict rules. I think it has set into me that they aren’t either possessed kid robots or unemotional robots, which means if they are sentient and being controller by Vanny or Afton, there are no reprogramming and loopholes to the animatronic function. I also think Glamrock Bonnie messed up with catching a child or maybe having the same emotions about kidnapping children with Freddy. What doesn’t make sense is how Freddy is not “possessed”, and if Montgomery was not possessed during destroying Bonnie, than why would he destroy Bonnie. It wouldn’t make sense if he did it while he WAS possessed because Afton wouldn’t kill his own robots unless like you were saying it was to set the animatronics straight from doing anything bad.

According to a commenter who claims to have knowledge about computers, “safe mode” is when the computer is returned to its very basic coding which is what Freddy was in all throughout the game. However, I see that you mentioned this already. About “Afton not killing his own robots,” I have to disagree with you there as we watched Afton kill the original 4 in FNAF 3 cutscenes/mini games. Also, the secret ending suggests that this generation have been built much after Afton was spring-locked and burnt in FNAF Pizza Sim, so this generation would not be his robots.
Either way, I didn’t mean to write this as a genuine theory. I just found it entertaining, and I’m a sucker for angst so I took it as a personal headcanon to share with y’all! :)

@@Heidijackward a kid isn't supposed to take a keycard, so he didn't just take a keycard he did something that was illegal (illegal to the rules of the daycare not illegal in real)

I don’t get why Gregory can’t just stay in the daycare until 6 am. He seems safe there as long as the lights are on.
People said it can’t work like that since the power is diverted to the charging machines but If It was real life you could technically just tape the switches to the backup generators so they stay on, I’m sure they have it in there
@@xmelonx6127 Even then, Moon was seemingly only mad because Gregory broke the one rule he made- keeping the lights on (although it was an accident). So Moon may actually be less hostile as long as he can *tell* it's not Gregory's fault when the lights go off.

I’ve been playing this game and imo this was the best section of it. Everything after it has been tedious and honestly frustrating at points, but it could be personal because I’ve encountered so many bugs and got lost on multiple occasions lol

I literally love that they actually animated him cleaning the mess that’s so cute my heart 😭 I love Sundrop so much. I’d rather spend all night in the daycare using glitterglue and running around playing with him. I wish there was an ending where you could’ve not broken the rule of turning the lights off and could’ve just stayed with Sundrop until morning.
Also I like the fact he’s a bit overbearing and energetic to match the energy of young children who would normally be in the daycare. God he reminds me of when I was younger and had so much energy I tired out every adult near me
