Thanks for the video,... my 2008 jetta bkd coolant flange is cracked on top, had previously just patched with some expoy but a year later is leaking again, so I will now replace after seeing how easy it is to get to, cheers mate

For those with a BKD engine, like my jetta has, the bottom bolt on the coolant flange is actually a stud and nut with another pipe clamped onto the stud and the clamp is part of the pipe so the pipe will have to be dealt with before you can remove the flange as I just discovered, and the pipe wraps around the engine from front to back

Is this common ,? I have a 2015 jetta and can't find the coolant leak,, not leaking a lot but it is leaking,,, this looks kinda hidden thats why I'm thinking this is my problem,, what's that part called, u happen to know what it cost, sorry for all the questions,, I'm just ready for it to be fixed

@@Dallas-GTR-86 I was leaking coolant and had to top up. But I was wrong, my problem is not fixed yet. It is still leaking coolant (but less). Guess there is another leak close to the flange

There is no leaking fuel
I found the problem to my car its a come problem its smokes like plastic rubber smell it come from the Aux parking heater near the washer tank from the bottom driver side its can come Into the cabin its like your car is gonna catch fire omg 😲 it's so embarrassing do some research on this I bet you will get rid of this car
Inside the Aux heater there is a glow plug that diesel spark it to warm up the car quicker it there to warm up the inside cabin
I've been going mad about this and I blame VW that this should have been Recalled I called them yesterday that my car was on fire they laughed smoke was so bad that it got inside my car and I was near the school and it was home time for children i was doing my own school run that's when I immediately called VW looking for answers
They are PATHETIC trust me I can't sell without fixing this problem

Ive a 2008 1.9tdi 105 ecomotive. Coolant appears below the car and can only find a tiny bit behind and below the turbo. Praying it is this part.

Hi ! What model car is ? I have Tiguan 2010 .. 2.0tdi and it looses coolant . Checked all the pipes and her is the last one unchecked
If you see coolant on top of gearbox its its most likely from the coolant flange. Either its cracked or the gasket is knackered. I used my phone i took pictures with the flash on to find it
@@ArtzierzDJ hey mate not sure if u still on youtube, but i just got a 2007 2.0 tdi, and there is coolant ontop of the gearbox, do you think its this flange?? Bit of a pain in the a** since i just got it but hoping its this since its quite cheap to fix
@@pharmZey Yeah it will be the flange. they're made of plastic and tend to crack. id also look for spilt hoses around that area. what I do is I put my phone to record a video and I just move it about around there and you should be able to find the leak. the part is cheap to replace. good luck and enjoy the ownership of audis haha

I to had a leak there but was caused by thread gone in hole for bolt , bit of bodgery later all sorted 😂
Had no idea what was going on here. Very rough handling of components. Losing hex tool into engine an having to use fingers a lot, I wonder did this get put back together at all . I lrned nothing except dont do this as per video or might cost thousands to put right.

The Jonzu engine cooling flange . You can find it on e bay amazon . Auto parts I don’t know if they have it on stock if so you can compared them
