I thought that name looked familiar... I've been playing on an alt a bit too (finished leveling one and now using up my third and final slot xD). No ironman challenge but I do love to get to high level places that I shouldn't be in yet. I always enjoy the early game grind and it's the same thing I've been doing in Elden Ring this past week. Trying to make a low-mid level PvP build and seeing how far I can go in the game. Being on an alt has given me the chance to play the whole revamped MSQ too.
I stopped playing new world when I realised the weapon buffs didn;t carry over when you switched weapons...say you used you bow to retreat from a foe and gained a speed buff then wanted to switch weapons and get back in after a quick heal but it would cancel any bow weapon buff after switching...is that still a thing?
LMFAO, That's why you stopped playing? Because weapon perks don't carry over? You couldn't just wrap your head around that? Yes it's still a thing but I'm sure you'll find something else to make you quit. The new artifacts have specific perks that work on both weapons. So maybe that will make you happy?
@@TobiasKundig yep. With 3 attacks per weapon I got bored with the combat system. If it carried over matching both weapons and their abilities would be complex and fun. GW2 does it well, which is what I always fall back on.
So when you saw as title '' The Season Of Garbage.. '' u were like HELL YEAH !! LESS GOOOO !! NW hype NW hype ! Tbh the only reason we love this game is combat glad to see father chamelon back !
Levelling an alt is a good idea to keep engaged in NW ahead of June. My guess on PvP is that OPR will end, and a new battlegrounds mode will be released, keeping to the 20v20 format with rewards, matchmaking, leaderboards, rankings and so on. The ffa zone i think will have structured events. Arenas will probably stay and maybe they'll add a map.
You can't escape this love hate relationship with this game Kamo... you know this! Just suck the crap through the straw and take it slow, don't min max and you'll get much less burnt out. That's what has me here at over 2500+ hours!
if devs would only add 1 or 2 more OPR maps and open world carriages that player defend. and fix overheating and performance issues. all they had to do
You know what mate, you can save yourself a ton of anger if just play 10+ year old games that have "fully patched out". You don't have to care about devs, patch notes, ptrs or any such BS - you can just enjoy these game!
the problem with ironman runs are, ..they are cool if u are streaming or a streamer/YT etc. or if u are doing the ironman run with others. but alone, it just really feels pointless and stupid at times, cuz u put so many limitations on yourself.. its not just about being harder and/or taking longer, but it just feels stupid after awhile, and specially if u a pvper, and pvp solo mostly, its really not fun having such par lv gear, and so many more handicaps, then all u meet n fight against. Also a big one is: u used to be able to develop pvp skilz, continuously, and beat folks and 1vx even without top gear(if u better) but now, so many changes have made skill less of an issue, you cant really progress with that after a certain point. u cant 1vx like u used to, so alotta the endgame progress there is also gone.. also u cant try out n use multiple builds etc. but i with u on the whole theory, and and mmorpg should have a grind and progression, that feels meaninful and impacts ur game.
I agree with that because we found we hit the pvp wall too when people had better gear. But we have two characters with BIS gear so when we get tired of that we can just switch over and pump.
u know what? at least the New World devs have the balls to make a new game. meanwhile World of warcraft guys are just rehasing 20 year old content and Final Fantasy is very outdated too. all these devs have to do is improve performance issues and add more OPR maps or open world carriages. literally all they have to do
Well I went to play GW2 and was super hyped about it. But when I went to do the battlegrounds there was no one playing them they were empty. And when we did get in one the whole team was just standing at spawn with one of the enemies on the outside firing at them. Did I do something wrong?
A lot of it is just a hunch but with obvious arrows pointing in a certain direction. You're correct announcement in June. But honestly I still would rather be playing New World in its current state than any of the others.
lol new world never had good action combat. spaming dodge/immunity frames. but decent. need more mobility fun skills and way better pvp balance. enrf attunement and gem dmg. remove slow on every melee hit and nerf stamina recovery. also more opr maps

NW has just been flippflopping, trying to please or apease all the different player types, and at some point started listening to much to the random dif sheep crouds, and folks who had no idea of NW, nor were mmo players, complain about everything.. taking too long to get artifacts, being too hard, forecing folks to pllay certain content(if they want those rewards) all things that were fine, and are needed in mmos. At first they didnt listen to the community(1million on launch, mostly pvp playas), and then way later, when ship was sinking, they started trying to appease every faction. and basically wrecked certain core mechanics. NW doesnt have a lead who has a vision for the game, its too much like some lefty "try n please em all" thing. AGS doesnt play the game enuf to understand, what an endlevel player, has wants n needs.. its such a hate love relationship with NW for me. but as u said, in that catagory, i canbt find any better.. still enjoy NW. and the copeium never stops flowing, always hoping for improvements, and there has been many, and lotts of the things that are causing issues right now, are good for the game long term (like the combat/code changes etc) we will see i guess.. and as long as my EU servers are full, im aight, and the game isnt "dead"

Lmao this game is utter trash and if you'd spend more then 5seconds playing ANY of the other major mmos, you'd come to the same conclusion. Billon dollar game, backed by multibillion dollar company, but for some reason they have the worst looking armor/weapons ever in mmo history, theres literally NOTHING to do end game (hence the reason why they do "fresh" servers so you guys have SOMETHING to do) The only end game mode activity is Wars, which 90% of the community cannot even get into, because its locked behind elitest players, not to mention Wars don't actually work, because its a laggy fucking mess, thousands of videos online of people just lagging out and sitting on under 30fps. But nah, best MMO, so good that it can't have more then 50 players in a town without it lagging the entire region. Meanwhile WoW you can put 2000 players in an area and have a fight and it works. But the billion dollar game couldn't do it? Best game though apparently.

Your exaggerating the development cost of the game by like a factor of 5. And I don't understand that dig at the armor being trash 🤔 It's different than most MMOs cause most big MMOs are pure fantasy. The game has plenty of good looking armor though that fits the setting.

Hmmm I think it depends on the weapon because a lot of buffs are carried over from weapon to weapon.
