- I love the GSI Soloist. It cooks so evenly and a non stick pot is amazing. I would highly recommend this cooking pot to anyone. Hope you guys enjoy the gear review.

Awesome review it's nice to see how everything can pack into it. I like how you stow the stove and lighter in the sack less chance of scratching the pot.
Dragon Roams this is the best cooking pot I’ve ever used for backpacking. Clean up is incredibly easy. Cooks evenly. I love it especially when doing big miles. 😃👍👍👍
Great review video. This really looks like a nice mess kit. That second setup with the smaller canister would probably be the way I'd go as well. Completely self contained, and light as well.

Nice set up buddy. I used to have the gsi hallulite minimalist set, really liked it. I think gsi makes some pretty nice stuff.

I have the same exact pot set-up, and also the pocket rocket. I really like them, but only used them on one shakedown hike. Last year I went stoveless and am considering doing that again. However, you are tempting me to take it :) Nice review.

Seems good to me especially when you can pack so much in. I have the little gas burner and I like small canisters too. I like the compactness of it all even though my bicycle carries the weight. Thanks for the review. I started reviewing too for fun. You can check out my Karrimor Bothy Bag 2 review if you don't have a small survival tent. Very small and light to pack but holds two people easily for a survival situation.

I have the same kit, don't like the sporks that came with the kit, and never use the sink it came with. I love the nontippy drinking cups with their bowl shape and the pot has been used many hundreds of times and the inner surface is still intact. I love it.

I have the same cook set and do the same as you with it. Mine is older and has no lid holes. It has worked for me over 9 years now.

Yes, granted I'm not using it 300 days a year but it's been a great system for me. That bucket is also good for fetching water if you need extra.

I wonder what purpose the little hooky piece of metal has near where the handle is attached.
I think it’s just there to help move the handle up and down.

Good review but the plastic lid🤔 bring some tinfoil when boiling.
The lid works great when using a gas canister but when I cook over a fire I really have to be careful. I haven’t burned mine, but my buddy burned his up. Lol. Thanks for watching and commenting
