To me, he has won every single Oscar he's been nominated for. He is so smart, so intellectual when he talks. His acting is one of my favorites, hugely admirable. I know an Academy Award isn't the only thing you judge an actor by, but his work so far has earned him more than one oscars to me, even if he hasn't been given them.
I honestly think Leo is such a great man, not only as an actor, but as a person. He did an exceptional job playing Jay Gatsby. He deserves an Oscar more than most Oscar winners.
dandelion burdock Leo is an amazing ass actor but as far as the great gatsby no it wasn't that good I even love Toby but he did pretty bad to all around the movie just wasn't good it felt rushed and disconnected
It seems to me that a lot of tv interviewers do that, they just list off their questions and don't engage in any real conversation with their guests. Edit: Missing words.
this man plays His characters so convincible, amazing! He speaks in away that draws you in. when you watch him you forget that its a movie. He can easily change himself into his character. A pure example of flawless, brilliant acting is definitely leonardo
LET HIM SPEAK. I get stressed out when Leonardo gets cut off like that constantly. It's like watching a race. Let him finish his sentences. I don't like this interviewer. Leo does get to talk for a while, but each time, he's being interrupted. The interviewer seems hungry for attention
His acting was superb. He captured Jay Gatsby's whole essence. The teary eyed, hopeful yet doubtful Jay Gatsby in that clip was just genius. He really rocked that scene. My favorite scene is the scene in the plaza hotel, which would be Chapter 7. It was brilliant. When Leo/Jay blew up on Joel/Tom it was one fo the most natural and honest moments i've ever scene in a movie. It was as if Leonardo Dicaprio was angry not the character he was playing. He's one of the greatest actors of our time.
My parents took me with them to see Titanic when I was 3 weeks old. When I was 5 I saw it again and it was my favorite movie. After that he was my favorite actor, and being a kindergartner I had no way of differentiating good actors from bad actors. It's a huge coincidence that he was technically the first actor I ever saw (even though I have no memory of it) and he became my favorite actor. His roles are iconic, and even if the film is bad, he has a way of brightening it. He's absolutely astounding.
One of the things about this author is that he can transport into a world to where you not only whisked into it, but you feel, move, taste, smell the elements around you in that environment. Very few authors have that ability and that's what makes him a genius for literary works..
I'm so mad that he hasn't won an Oscar. The Great Gatsby is amazing and he played Jay perfectly. He's undoubtedly one of the best actors out there. Major respect to him.
Leo is one of the best actors ever!!! Especially in this movie, his performance was absolutely flawless and spot-on. Simply amazing. Leo is also the best period-actor alive. He definitely deserves an Oscar for his performance in "The Great Gatsby". But in my opinion, he should have also received one for his equally astonishing performances in "What's eating Gilbert Grape?", "The Beach", "The Departed", "Blood Diamond" "Revolutionary Road" and "J. Edgar". He's very intelligent and philantropic.
+Young Justice He probably was required to mention the 3D element from the film so he used Leo's comment about the novel making you feel like you're in the room with the characters as a segway into it. He did it rather awkwardly tho like he forgot to be conversational as well as actually listen to what he's saying. He should've done something like "and people get to feel like they're in the room with the characters with the 3D in the film too. Do you adjust your acting knowing it's going to be in 3D?" Just saying "Especially in 3D!!!!!" while Leo's talking about the *novel* is awkward and shows he wasn't really paying attention and just wanted to get the points he was told to get through done and the interview over with.
I feel like he might have rehearsed answers for questions that he was given before hand, then the interviewer didn't ask them correctly. His answers danced around the question without directly answering them lol
If I were interviewing Leo I would let him speak all he wants and make sure I don't ask stupid questions I mean it's like letting letting God speak in front of you DONT INTERRUPT HIM!
Woo, he's beautiful, talks brilliantly, very clever, ecologist, generous, smiling, cute, very good actor, humble and i forgive some probably ! .. What can we want more?
is no one going to mention the very beginning where the guy introduces leo but says leonardo super weirdly? And you see leo's eyes kinda like "how tf did he just say my name"
Omg one the best actors for this generation he so amazin he plays every character w/ such heart and soul I don't like the facial hair but im still memorized by him
which is why i prefer this Gatsby movie over the original. Baz did a fantastic job with directing this film. The film really came to life with such beautiful boisterous visionary and images. Everybody that was involved with this film did such a good job. Excited for when the movie comes out on Blu-ray and DVD.
The great Gatsby can teach you a lot. Are you a gatsby, person who let's their past destroy their future? A daisy, a person who just went with the flow and ends up unhappy because she can't take control. Ect
Cant believe this movie dint get enough attention at the Oscars.. Sometimes Oscars can be annoying.. Cant believe he's not won one yet.. Pfft.. Seriously...
The worst is when you compare Silver Linings Playbook to The Great Gatsby... Jennifer Lawrence is a good actress but I was very surprised she won an Oscar whereas Leo never managed to get one...
UnknowMakeupfan None of the other actresses nominated did as well as Lawrence. There was probably quite a few actresses you did better though that weren't. Also, I'm glad Leo wasn't nominated for Gatsby. It just wasn't that good of a movie. Lurhmann went for all glamour with no substance. He lost a lot of what made the story great because he wanted to make it a visual masterpiece.
his voice doesn't change and he looks almost the same as in Titanic and in The Great Gatsby he looks exactly like Jack. :) I love this man, i mean he is such an amating actor. He deserves 100000 Oscars.
His hair was so perfect in that movie.
indeed
really? you say that like that's the most important thing in the movie...his hair? really
wolverineiscool It's noticable
Cole Cole his hair is so perfect at all of the movies
@@wolverineiscool7161 it ain't that deep but go off

He should really only have one for The Aviator and maybe Catch Me If You Can. He doens't deserve 12 Oscars, but yeah, I get your point.
except he believes in wired fake shit like climate change.
I feel like Leo's the type of guy if you ask him what time it is he'll tell you how to build a clock. He's extremely thorough and articulate lol
Scorpio energy haha 😂
I finally watched The Great Gatsby and I LOVED it! I thought it was brilliant. I truly feel that people who didn't enjoy it, did not get it.
Leo's definitely one of my top dudes, but this version of GG is terrible... Robert Redford as JG is still best.
Roger Smith - I politely disagree. But that's fine. Everyone's entitled to their opinion. This version of the movie just spoke to me.
it spoke poop to the forth power times infinity.
Foreals!!
my feelings exactly
he was probably reluctant because hes tired of dying in movies, he probably got more movie deaths than Oscar nominations
he's trying to catch up to Sean Bean
3:07 you can see in leo's eyes that he wanna punch this guy for always interrupting.
Pedro Nico Doubt it ,
He could also be thinking
Trump took a giant shit on little hobbit Georgie S for his Clinton foundation donation(s). Trump always going scorched earth on these hoes lol
lol
It seems to me that a lot of tv interviewers do that, they just list off their questions and don't engage in any real conversation with their guests.

He is a beautiful person.

Yeah! His acting seems so real and so natural!
yeah yeah absolutely ^^
Dicaprio is right. With this sort of novel you could never make everyone happy with film.
I know I'm not happy & I didn't even see the film.
LET HIM SPEAK. I get stressed out when Leonardo gets cut off like that constantly. It's like watching a race. Let him finish his sentences. I don't like this interviewer. Leo does get to talk for a while, but each time, he's being interrupted.

Kevin Some Doubt it ,
+Kevin Some think interviewers do that cause they have a time limit for segments...
+Fonzi79 hey are u single doll?
max torres awww your cute...
Fonzi79 wwll that was like 3yrs ago lol, you got kik or watsapp?
Leo was like, "This nigga is talking about 3D?"
Leo is incredibly articulate.
This interviewer keeps interrupting him LET THE MAN TALK 😒
+ItsAHorsesThing I looked into the comments to make sure someone mentioned that! It was a little rude.
So true hahahahaa
Probably has limited time though, tryna jam back the few minutes he has with as many questions as possible
+UA-cam killedtv jam pack**
+UA-cam killedtv yea probably true.
interviewer is clearly NOT listening to him.. who can blame him.. probably mesmerised by Leo's pure amzingnessssss

He's powerful at his roles.
Yes, I can't agree you anymore.🤣
Everything about him is noble and pleasant.
3D? really?
Why the fuck does Leo care about 3D? let him speak about the story.
I cannot understand a word he's saying. im mesmerized
Suthanthiran94 ... you're big minded?
Hey, everybody... we've a BIG MINDED over here! Let's applause him/her...
Ew.. the interviewer keeps cutting him off
I love how Leo is so supportive of animals and while life. That's all his Instagram is about and I adore it 😊
Me too! :)
I liked the film but while Carey Mulligan's take on Daisy was effective, the film wouldn't have been worth it without Leo's outstanding performance
I'm just gonna go ahead and say he's the best actor of my lifetime. No one compares for me
I agree!
Incredible maybe someone else will be as good
OMG seriously stop interrupting him! LET HIM SPEAK...I could listen to Leo talk for hours
Beautiful performance in this film. This movie is so faithful to the novel, I absolutely loved it.
A life changing movie. Leo speaks right to my soul

I wouldn't say Leo looks older. I would say that he looks like a real man now! And he has a kind face! He is a real gentlem
"Especially in 3D"?! This interviewer is both dense and somehow extremely food at missing the point. Please get rid of him.
Oh my god . I love all his work and especially in The Great Gatsby . This movie had me in tears
Everything about him is noble and pleasant. I'm not getting tired of watching the film he made.

Leonardo DiCaprio is my favorite Actor. I wanna them to do a play on this
I felt Leo did excellent job since I read book before I saw movie.
The whole cast was lovely 😍
Leo should have def. won more Oscars. He is an incredible actor and has great charisma.
The way he speaks is soooo cute
Such a talented actor.. Also, he looks better without facial hair..
To be honest he looks beautiful all the time.
Thanks for sharing Vinny
Vinny Casella +100000 I couldn't agree more

Reluctant to take it Leo could play a role in any film and it will be a film worth watching without a doubt the best actor to ever live
Kudos to great acting from Dicaprio
I feel like Leo could talk endlessly about anything and everything...he always sounds so intelligent
I feel like he might have rehearsed answers for questions that he was given before hand, then the interviewer didn't ask them correctly. His answers danced around the question without directly answering them lol
i had to watch this twice because literally the entire time i \was watching it i was so mesmerized with his eyes.

since seeing him in "the departed", I found a great respect for his acting. the greatest actor in my opinion

Leonardo is a good man, one of the few actors which you can tell that he's pretty low profile
One of the best actors of our time. He should have 20 oscars
I truly love Leo as and artist, and I believe this gift that God has so blessed him with is not his greatest gift it is yet to come
One of my all time favorite movies !!!
So smart , so handsome , no man can be as wonderful as him
I rewinded his smile like three times at the end. He is beautiful and gets hotter ever second!
He did simply amazing in the movie, as he is in every movie of his

I think he's improved a lot as an actor noe he is one of the best and he choose his movies really well. He is the best and he needs an oscar right now
no matter how old he gets, he will forever be fine as f
I know hes responding with the character but the past repeats itself all throughout history
