Renewing brakes today. I know it’s an old video of yours but it’s great to have a detailed video to show how it’s done. Thanks a million for doing these videos and helping diy mechanics like myself!
hey Dave it's looking very tidy man. It looks really awkward to have inboard drums like the old jags but I must say you have it nailed , you know your stuff that's for shure..You present very well Dave all clear and precise it's a pleasure to watch.. when I watch yourself or Db or Jc or Dd I realise how sloppy my videos are but I just don't do any homework or prepare it's just spur of the moment and hope for the best...I can't see me changing anytime soon... Any way just thought I would let you know it comes over really well mate .. Take care buddy all the best Paul..
Thanks as ever. Inboard makes it a bit harder, but the advantages in driving outweigh the relatively rare times you need to get in there. Discs of course make it much easier, but this was an older car and whilst I could easily upgrade to discs, I like the anachronistic feel for this car. I've watched Del for a long time and I've picked up a lot of the changes he has made, so I copy a lot, not just from him. You present well and its a point Del has made before, the really popular channels are fronted by video savvy journalists who present really well but don't actually know very much. Others, such as yourself teach more than you realise because your experience shows through. I have a favourite channel, that has a really basic presentation style but I watch just because they are a professional engineer and the hints and tips of what they do and how they do it are just worth gold in every video.
Doing this on my 2CV tomorow, this has been a great help to get prepared.
Good luck with that!

Glad it helped. Thanks.
Looks like the real french art of engineering, making easy things as complicate as possible. 😂
Citroen were world leaders in car technology when all of this was designed, but I guess they went up some dead ends in the process!

Should be much the same - drum brakes are an old design and are much the same in any car you'll look at. Good luck!

@@mercopolomercopolo5734 This is the hand brake. The hand brake uses the same brake as the main brakes.
Zar nije lakše da se stavi kočioni cilindar na kraju?
It doesn't make any difference.
