Just a quick tip if using the trio. Be sure to check the pH in the water after adding in the nutes because it will lower the pH and you may need to use some pH up solution based on the pH that comes out of your tap. I'm using CloneX food (not rooting gel) and Great White for seedlings until they go into soil. Fox Farms Happy Frog has enough in it to never have to feed during veg. But ramping up to 400ppm of CalMag by week 2 of veg is barely keeping up with purpling stems. Week 4 veg run off was still 600ppms, so I probably could have fed, but I transplanted into Fox Farms Ocean Forest before flipping to flower, and plan to give the first and final General Hydroponics Grow, Micro, and Bloom flower feeding around week 5 of flower when the soil's run off PPMs are finally below 1k. I'm still on my 1st grow but they look amazing having never fed them. Run off PPMs are still over 1.5k in week 2 flower. Branches on branches on branches. The key for me has been to use a kitchen scale, and weigh the pot & soil dry before ever watering. Then water to run off and weigh that. Now with Max and min weights, never water before she gets down to less than 10%. So my 3 gal is 3.9kg dry, 5.3kg watered, and doesn't get water again until she's under 4kg. Sorry if this went too long. My point is that good soil and leaving them alone seems to be better than mixing lots of cocktails for plants. But I'm only 10 weeks into a perfect grow. There's still 6 weeks left to stunt them for the first time. Oh, and I use what I use because Welcome to the Grow Tent is the only GrowTuber I have found that has a step by step, completely duplicatable recipe, with all of the details. And that's what he uses.

I just wanted to clarify that when you started off talking about adding nutrients you said 6 table spoons of big Bloom and it should be 6tea spoons.....Thr abbreviations are tsp for teaspoon and Tbsp for table spoon

Not against using Nutrients at all. In fact I can't wait to expand on what I'm doing and have learned. I do use FoxFarm soil's. And that is on purpose because they are "hot" mediums. exception Happy Frog. But how would FoxFarm soils with extra FoxFarm Nut's react. Would that be pushing PPM's way high. Just thinking the Nut's might be safer with a neutral medium like Happy Frog if not Coco. Like I wouldn't put Beastie Bloom in Straw Berry Fields, right?
Fox farm is know for over selling fertilizer. Yes you will be pushing the PPM's high. yes happy will be a better soil to start with if you want to start with liquid nuts. in very small amounts you would use bestie with strawberry soil. Mark

Well I have to say something here that a lot of people don't understand Fox farm products are super fantastic products but a lot of these tutorials out here of people showing you how they do their grows and what food they are giving their plants are not telling you exactly what kind of soil they are growing in pay attention to that!!! If you notice the chart said for growing in soil okay so then if you are growing in Happy frog ocean Forest Coco loco or strawberry you don't need to feed all of these extra synthetic feeds on top of that you can add a little Bloom from time to time and things like that but not the whole line of food understand that these soils that I just mentioned already have all the food your plants need yes you can give them a little extra from time to time like grow or bloom or kelp whatever that don't make it a solid regiment the soil has already got the food in it only add extra if you think you need it but go light!!! Peace and God bless keep it green hope this helps out with some of you out there that don't realize this peace and God bless ✌️

is there a certain order im supposed to mix these in also ive seen people feeding cal mag every feeding before they add these in is that something that has to be done ?
Can I use Fox Farm big bloom fertilizer in my irrigation system my concern was that this fertilizer is going to get into the plant every day. Is that going to hurt it?
I’ve been growing for 3 weeks already I’ve just purchased the first 3 bottles I understand to put 6 tsp in a gallon of water but how much should I pour into the soil also when do i give regular water and add the second solution , do I do pour both bottles at the same time then water on a different?
Hey Glenn, Sorry it took so long to reply. I also made this video about watering, feeding your plants and just finishing editing it. Let me know if it answers your question. - Mark ua-cam.com/video/INQ7xcz5tik/v-deo.html
Just make a batch for the week according to the recommendation [2 tsp/gal H2O] 1-1.5 gal of water-nute solution seems to be okay. Reduce the nute measurements & give it plain distilled water (6.0-6.5 pH) between the 2 weekly feedings. As they grow you’ll know if & when water’s needed
And I got a question if you're already if you're grown hydroponically and you still in the you know you're growing in the nutrients of stuff do you still for how do you fertilize every 7 to 14 days
If you are in a hydro System you will either "Top Off" Your Res or make a new batch every couple weeks. I hope I answered the question you were asking - Mark
I understand the mixing per gallon , but how much of that gallon should I feed to each plant , if it helps they will be in 5 gallon buckets , ty for any help
I would treat my water with a product called Drops of Balance. bottle water is stripes from minerals and tap water is poison for the plants. Drops of balance fixes both issues. -mark
You can fill an open 5 gal bucket with city tap water and leave it for 48-72 hours and the chlorine will dissipate so YES, use tap water but let it "air out" in sunshine for a couple of days first.
How much tiger bloom would I use in a drip irrigation through a fertilizer injector on 235 square feet. It’s a regular garden with the normal vegetables such as, tomatoes, beans, corn, squash, zucchini, cucumbers and peppers. I can’t find that info anywhere. My fertilizer injector holds up to 16 fluid ounces.
so does your drip injector siphon from your garden house? If so there is a rate that get mixed per gallon of water that flows through the drip irrigation. does it siphon a teaspoon per gallon? If not you will have to make a concentrated gallon and figure out your own dilution rate. Let me know if that makes since Mark

All right. Finally the answer I needed. Used FF the last 2 summers. Growing in 28 gal. cattle tubs, always ran out of the big bottles and never used all of the powders. I'll just get the large bottles. Save a few bucks and still get the same results I hope. Thanks y'all.
So when you say the plant food is 6 teaspoons per gallon and 1 tsp per gallon of wholly mackerel etc. is that all the same gallon? So either its a gallon of water per chemical, or 3 chemicals mixed in the same gallon of water. Please help me understand
Its all the same gallon. You just have to make sure you put each one in the right order otherwise some of the nutrients will become locked out of solution. If using a silicate that ALWAYS GOES FIRST B4 ANYTHING ELSE. Cal mag is normally first if not using a silicate. There are some videos that show the order in which Fox Farm nutes are used. So yeah everything is mixed in the same gallon just be sure to thoroughly mix each one before adding the next. Also be sure to start with a fraction of whats called for then check your ec or ppms becuse using the recommended strength on the bottles for one gallon will skyrocket your ec/ppms way to high and you will burn your plants.

FOR HYDROPONIC SYSTEMS - on foxfarm and the EC/PPM levels - when you prep your mix for that week do you test it before you add it to your system and thats it? or do you everyday continue to add to keep the levels at the recommend EC and PPM? because after a day or two it seems my plants strip the water of all the nutrients and I'm not sure if I should add more to keep the levels up for the rest of the week or am I just done with that weeks feeding
Sorry for the late reply, When you mix up a fresh batch and are in a recirculating system what you want to boost up will want to add trace minerals (I recommend Drops of Balance) to keep your macro minerals unlocked. You will also want to keep your water topped off and you EC constant. As long as your minerals are balance, water is clean and you understand you plant def. you don't have to through any nuts away mark
I want to grow just one auto, so if i make it per gallon like they say, would i just pour the right amount of mixture in the pot twice a week until it all runs out in the next few days/weeks or would i need to lower the dose for a certain amount of water and use the whole thing in one pour?
Do you have any information or video on hydroponic feeding just like this soil version one? I am growing in 2 tents, one hydro tub, other tents Thap Air pot grow in Strawberry Fields. And I am using Tap Water, needing to be PH tested always.

So, are we suppose to use one gallon of water per week with the nutrients? For example, during weeks 1 thru 2: it states to add 6tsp of big bloom, 1tsp of bomerrang. The next week the same amount. Are we adding to the same gallon of water or starting fresh? Of course refilling with fresh water if using same water from week before. I hope that's not confusing. Thanks!

@@PerfectGardensTV I watched the recommended videos, but still didn't get it. Should we use a gallon per week? In other words, is the number of tsp just for the ratio or is it the amount that I have to eventually feed to the plant per week?
Joseph Chalfoun if you are growing in soil. You generally feed ever other watering. So you would feed your plant, wait 2-3 days then give regular ph water, then wait a few more days then feed again, which adds up to feeding about twice a week. I’ve started feeding and then giving it 2 watering in between feeding it again.

Most important lesson I learned besides separating advice to divisions of growing methods is the feed ratio of soil and nutrients when using as it gives me starting point of which soil to use of needing nutrients or not.

Fox farms is awesome. Thank-you for the information.
Our pleasure!
Yes you will be pushing the PPM's high. yes happy will be a better soil to start with if you want to start with liquid nuts. in very small amounts you would use bestie with strawberry soil.

hi I wanted too know after the seeds start too sprout how much nutrients may I use on them I’m using a distilled water on them I’ve brought the fox farm trio pack and the soil is a fox farm ocean forest soil if you or any one can help please let me know how nutrients and how often and do I have too use a spray bottle as well please help me thank you
In what dirt though? I got ocean forest and I’m scared to add any more

How much should i give my baby. She is in a 20 gallon bucket and is 108 days old today. She looks good already but I'm developing a green thumb and wanna do her right. Newbie here.
If your plant is getting pale on bottom half you better add some N.

Sorry it took so long to reply. I also made this video about watering, feeding your plants and just finishing editing it. Let me know if it answers your question. - Mark ua-cam.com/video/INQ7xcz5tik/v-deo.html
I 100% agree, this is a great question. I made this video about watering. Love to hear your opinion. ua-cam.com/video/INQ7xcz5tik/v-deo.html
Just make a batch for the week according to the recommendation [2 tsp/gal H2O]
1-1.5 gal of water-nute solution seems to be okay. Reduce the nute measurements & give it plain distilled water (6.0-6.5 pH) between the 2 weekly feedings. As they grow you’ll know if & when water’s needed
How'd your grow go?
And I got a question if you're already if you're grown hydroponically and you still in the you know you're growing in the nutrients of stuff do you still for how do you fertilize every 7 to 14 days
If you are in a hydro System you will either "Top Off" Your Res or make a new batch every couple weeks. I hope I answered the question you were asking - Mark
Yes you did you answered my question here's another question what is the comparison between Hydroponics Flora series and fox farm
Should I use these nutrients in Ocean Forest
I understand the mixing per gallon , but how much of that gallon should I feed to each plant , if it helps they will be in 5 gallon buckets , ty for any help
Did u ever figure it out ? I’ll be having x4 of 3gallon plants.

Wud it be best to use bottle water over tap or not? Can't wait to get going like you will be big help matey thanks alot😁
It’s better but not a huge amount better …R/O water is what you want and they sell it at most grocery stores
I would treat my water with a product called Drops of Balance. bottle water is stripes from minerals and tap water is poison for the plants. Drops of balance fixes both issues. -mark
in addition to what fox said, just want to add mineral to RO water as well before watering so water does strip minerals out of soil

@@PerfectGardensTV Cheers lads spot on
You can fill an open 5 gal bucket with city tap water and leave it for 48-72 hours and the chlorine will dissipate so YES, use tap water but let it "air out" in sunshine for a couple of days first.
I live in guam, hot and humid in 90 degree weather. how often and how should I water my mj plants?
you have to find a heavy sativa strain or grow indoors
My favorite line up is elite garden nutrients.ive used other line ups but Elite is magnificent.
I added it to the product review. Sorry for the late reply. Ty for your suggestion - Mark
Let me know if that makes since

Same cook the soil 2 week before planting

No. But throughout the grow cycle the plant will yield more if feed properly

Yes that is all in the same gallon of water.

When do I start adding nutes
After the true leaves come out
FOR HYDROPONIC SYSTEMS - on foxfarm and the EC/PPM levels - when you prep your mix for that week do you test it before you add it to your system and thats it? or do you everyday continue to add to keep the levels at the recommend EC and PPM? because after a day or two it seems my plants strip the water of all the nutrients and I'm not sure if I should add more to keep the levels up for the rest of the week or am I just done with that weeks feeding
Sorry for the late reply, When you mix up a fresh batch and are in a recirculating system what you want to boost up will want to add trace minerals (I recommend Drops of Balance) to keep your macro minerals unlocked. You will also want to keep your water topped off and you EC constant. As long as your minerals are balance, water is clean and you understand you plant def. you don't have to through any nuts away

My roots have a brown residue on them and don't appear to be healthy and undersized. I have plenty of air.and no smell
Is this video include autoflower for indoor
So do you dump the gallon of Sledgehammer in between the two feedings
yes exactly

I want to grow just one auto, so if i make it per gallon like they say, would i just pour the right amount of mixture in the pot twice a week until it all runs out in the next few days/weeks or would i need to lower the dose for a certain amount of water and use the whole thing in one pour?
Stress send the plant into flowering earlier. Key is to avoid stress even transplant

@@PerfectGardensTV I watched the recommended videos, but still didn't get it. Should we use a gallon per week? In other words, is the number of tsp just for the ratio or is it the amount that I have to eventually feed to the plant per week?
Joseph Chalfoun no. You should only be feeding your plant twice a week at most usually.
Joseph Chalfoun let me know if I answered ur question at all. I may of misunderstood what you were asking as well.
I recently picked up the top 3 big bloom, grow big, and tiger bloom and I was wondering what soil do you recommend to use with these 3 products? Can I use fox farm ocean forest or happy frog? Or will they burn my plants as I use them with the 3 additives?
Ocean forest works better then happy frog
Your plants will be fine for the first 40 -45 days of life with FFOF. Then add in nutes

Most important lesson I learned besides separating advice to divisions of growing methods is the feed ratio of soil and nutrients when using as it gives me starting point of which soil to use of needing nutrients or not.
