  • All power supply lines are connected to a power supply and the computer is tested.
I make great progress on loading data from cassette on the Multitech MPF-III.
The disk drive is sounding a lot better after cleaning and lubricating but it cannot be tested because I don't have any bootable Apple II disks. Making disks is something I want to do so I'll produce a video on that subject when I achieve that.

Thanks. I've been busy with work and haven't had much time to make videos. I have so many I want to make but life gets in the way. Cheers.

Google for ADTPro. You can bootstrap it from tape or serial and write disk images to real floppy disks. That's how I generated bootable floppy disks on my Aplle IIc (via serial). Basically you generate an ADTPro boot disk first via slow tape or serial and then can make other disks much faster from serial.

Thanks. I did see ADTPro mentioned but didn't realize it supported tape. I don't have serial on this machine or my Apple IIe. I'll give it a go. Cheers.

Hi Paul. I don't repair for other people but could have a look if you get stuck. I take it you've tried cleaning the heads and lubricating the drive? Cheers.
